I played this game for like 2 hours at E3. It was a blast to play. If memory serves me correctly you aim at the targets like you do in Unreal Tournament. I talked to the programmer working on it. I think he said they're doing static lighting on the enviroments and dynamic lighting on the characters (like Unreal Engine 3). Flagship studios produced an AMAZING engine and awesome cinematics. The comic book for it is really excellent as well. They have a great background.
Only negative that made me worry is that the content will be instanced. However! They told me they are investigating a new payment plan in which you do not have to pay in order to enjoy all the content. The towns were not instanced of course (like guild wars).
It's truly a next gen MMO. The action is so incredible that I believe even if it has a slight repitition like all MMOs have that gamers wont notice it at all. It felt like it was going to be a faced paced MMORPG/FPS type of game with lots of incredible, additive action.
DISCLAIMER: What they showed at E3 was probably pretty early so it is probably 10x better by now

Yes at E3 they told me it would be an MMO. You pick your class. At E3 they had Cabalist and Templar I Believe. I went Templar route. I teamed up with another newbie and we did a mission together. Then I went and soloed some missions. Killed some demons, zombies, etc. The action feels like a shooter with strong RPG traits.
Been awaiting a blaster combined with MMO elements to come out for some time now, been a gamer for a very long time and after watching the video promo for this... my mouth continues to salivate. Hypothetically speaking of course, don't much like the idea of have to walk about with a sponge attached to my jaw until this products release.
Although a good friend of mine has watched a number of videos of the game wasn't all that impressed. Just wanted to ask that in comparison to the videos to actually being able to play it, are the videos of the game an unjustice it?

I second that.
I also watched the gameplay movies of this game, and I wasn't impressed at all. the first person combat, although pretty, didn't seem that good, and the 3rd person part was just done horrible.
