Just wanted to chime and say that DnL did have a beautiful world and I really enjoyed flying my pioneer dragon......
But there was nothing else good. I absolutely despise Farlan and the boyz at Alchemic Dream for their tactics on the official forums regarding the protection of this pile. In future if either of those companies are attached to a game in any way, shape or form I will treat it like the plague......
Again, I liked the world and the flying. Even enjoyed parachuting and hang-gliding.

That's because someone else made it. _Pix_ desrves all the credit for that. Not Farlan/DnL.
I enjoyed the forums, maybe a bit too much. I wasted a lot of time there and here that could have been spent in a more positive manner. Never did see what all the fuss was over in the graphics department, Blacksacs screenies were good but in game I was not at all impresssed.
I learned one thing though, a game will either fail or succeed on it's own merit. People will believe whatever they want to believe, and you can polish a turd and sell it as a diamond if you can find someone that wants a diamond bad enough.
I miss DAoC

Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.
Depends on your definition of fun!
Grinding on some mobs, then after the group of mobs is dead searching for 20minutes for the next group.
Well there's more...just read other threads or even the official forums to see.
If you want a new MMORPG there's plenty others that would be better to try
There are plenty of ways to have fun with DnL:
Run a betting pool on which fast food place Farlan will end up making burgers at.
Burn the game to a dvd just to have the pleasure of using it as a coaster, a frisbee, or just the satisfaction of breaking it.
Give yourself +1 in I.Q. points everytime a new person says how much they like the game.
Write a letter to the tourist office for Reunion Island stating how badly you wanted to sail your yacht there and spend an indecent amount of money investing in their real estate and business community until you heard they harbored such undesirable riff-raff as Farlan and company.
Take the time to learn french just so you can insult the devs in the only language they understand.
Boycott french fries just because they remind you of Farlan.
Call the C.I.A and inform them that Farlan/NPCube is a front for terrorist activity. Show them the game to prove it.
Write the U.N. and propose sanctions against France until they close down Farlan/NPCube for good. Send a copy of the game to the U.N. members to show why. * Inform the C.I.A. first, so you don't get tangled in previous terrorist claims*
See, this game CAN be fun, if you just use your imagination
