Rappelz _ has anyone else tried it?

I always check out new MMORPG's and this is the first time that i have ever been moved to tell other people about it. Seriously this game is really good. I saw another post somewhere that said it was "Full Featured" and thats no lie. Everything that I've been frustrated about in other games.. petty stuff like cant arrow back in text in Archlord or you have to go on allakhazams to understand the quests in FFXI, these things work in Rappelz

And the pets and mounts that are available almost when you start to play. The graphics are great and I can PLAY IN A WINDOW! (FU FFXI!). Anyway I could go on and on about my opinion of it, but just check it out for yourself then come back here and tell me if im right or wrong. for now im going back to playing!

    I tried it. I didn't particularly like it. The game offers nothing new to the table but then again I'm a jaded mmo player and very hard to please. In my opinion, Flyff would probably be a better game in my book. Then again the graphics for Rappelz uses Unreal engine and looks quite nice with all the shaders.

    Rappelz really offers something good for the casual player.  Which is the ideal market you should be aiming for in a Free MMO.  Since you don't want your players on too long to hog your bandwidth.  Its rewarding for staying offline for prolonged periods of time.  Also it isn't too hard to mess up.  There were a few limiting factors I didn't like though.  Such as that Goth Race can't effectively use an Axe.

    Damn doesnt these forums have a search function? I really like this game and bet theres more post about it here. And why doesnt it have its own section like the umteen million other games in that dropdown? Maybe mmorpg.com hates us and doesnt want us to have the really good games thy're playing!,... lol JK

    but yeah yeah yeah Check it out! Im a lazy bastard and am just going to ctrl c/v what i wrote in the hype section for it.

    This game is amazing. I'm dropping archlord cold to play this. This game has tons of features and everything is working really smooth for me. JUst a few things off the top of my head (im only level 7): PVP anywhere by choice, you can turn it on and off. Chat tabs are customizable, (ex, guild, party and whisper all in one) Summon and level your own pet. Mounts are available within the first couple hours of playing. Upgrade everything! Weapons, Armor, Skills etc. Excellent social structure ( im already in a guild and partying with guildmates). Play in window mode. (I so need this for work:) Quests make sense and are well documented in game. Quest log is simular to WoW so you can track progress. Newbie Island has "Channels"(ala.GW) so no overcrowding the newbies. The official website has real forums with tons of people, so your question is probably already answered. Unique XP bonus system. I could go on but I want to get back to playing. Please spread the word and at least check this game out for yourself!!!

    Correction with the their form of income as being the cash shop, you would want your subscribers to be online actively playing and wasting their real life money on your cash shop items.

    yeah I know what you mean Nekrow but I dont think everygame gets a section and i bet it must be released first. Good thinking though.

    there is at the very top of the page but it links up the whole site and says 0 forum topics found. It doesnt see this post and I doubt this is the only post about this game. So I dunno.

    You don't have to be active to waste alot of money on cash shops.  A person can spend $20 on a cash shop in a week to fill the enjoyment of pwning some newbies who wanna f2p in about an hour, then not sign on until the next week when they release another few items that allow for other possibilities.

    Why SamaraiSword? I really like the idea of having a choice in paying. If i get on another game for awhile or hospitalized my account doesnt go away. I can play the game unlimited (max level) without ever paying a cent if i want. I dont know why you think its a bad idea. Maybe an player based economy thing?
