The people at The Chronicles of Spellborn have released a new official trailer for their upcoming MMORPG.

      Looks nice, but for some reason I wasn't impressed.  Graphics are good, but the music of the video was just too mild.  I'm starting to think everyone shud outsource their trailer making needs to whoever does the vids for Blizzard :)

    OT: i liked the movie but i do hope we c more ingame stuff soon :)

    I don't like blizzards trailers.. I laughed so hard when I saw BC's trailer: new maps, new armours, soceted items, new trees, new rocks, new... blah blah.. that was so stupid  o_O
    I saw better trailers than this but I like it. I loved music and can't wait to try this game. =]

    Looks very good, but the trailer sadly doesnt hype the game at all. Nothing about the game in there except the graphics. Nothing about background or gameplay at all.

    And about blizzard trailers being the only good ones: Try taking a look at WaR's final trailer!!! Looks very good and oozes atmosphere.

    Hmmm..
    After all this time, I was looking for a better trailer, detailing the game more.

    Verdict is still out.. To weather I will try this game or not.

    I wish them all the luck though on their game! image

    Pretty Pretty.  And I did like the subtle music.  Of course, I do like Classical music, so that might explain some of that component. 

    When I saw there was a new trailer, I was really hoping to see some UI in there, but it makes sense they would leave that out.  Perhaps as Beta comes up we can get some video of the UI in action.

    Overall I liked it, and it seemed about the right length.  But as was said, it really did not grab me and make me want to play.

    It wasn't bad but I have seen most of that before.

    like others have mentioned I was hoping for more detail with a peek at the UI.

    But I hope to see it soon since I've won a beta key image

    Actually I thought the music did a very good job at setting the mood. My only criticism is that the harp arpeggio was a bit monotonous and it could have been altered a bit for variation.

    But that is needless nitpicking.

    I'm very on the fence about this game. The graphics aren't bad at all but I'm not sure if the style is a bit too cartoony for my taste. The fighting animations looked a little dull. Especially that large sweep that the female warrior kept doing.

    As far as trailers, love or hate the game, lineage 2 trailers are very impressive.

    I liked the trailer as well but it didn't tell me very much about the game at all.

    I don't know if I'll be into it cause I really don't know much of what it's about, but the idea of "what's hidden must be found" sounds kinda cool.

    Looked pretty good. I like both the trailer as well as the music, i thought it fit nicely with the style of the game. I cant wait till beta starts!

    I enjoyed the music (but I too like classical music and have rather strange musical tastes).

    I was disappointed in that there weren't any real close-ups of the characters or the fights.  I almost got the idea that they didn't want to get too close for some reason.  Everything in the video just seem to avoid being seen at close range.

    The graphics are pretty from what I can see.  But as a gamer, my interest is piqued by getting a glimpse of the UI, close ups of the characters and monsters.

    Finally, I would have enjoyed more in-game footage and less drawn artwork being featured.

    I'm pretty new to mmorpg's but I have been watching this (and warhammer) because they are two that I want to really try, but I wasn't impressed visually by this video. Actually everything BUT the fighting was okay for some reason to me image

    still gonna try it when it comes though :)

    I do not like how they sped up animation to cover up any impression of frame rate latency.

       Yes they should have released it showing the frames skipping...that would really impress you eh :)

    LotD is still watching this game, but when it pushed into a 2007 release we took it off of our official watch list. If WHO or Fury don't appear to release in 07 though, we may take a closer look because we're sick of the current offerings on the market.

    One word for this trailer: intriguing. I've always found TCoS intriguing, and the music of this further contributes to that impression.
    I registered to the site one year ago but then I lost interest because of GW... let's hope they can come up with a really original and exotic MMO, and that they don't screw it up SWG-style.

    I like it.. and trailers don't really say how a game will actually be.

     

    I for one am looking foward to this.. from what i've seen and read it sounds really good. I hope it lasts...
