There is only 2 paths for SWG, Either it dies or Pre-CU comes back.

It appears that you are the one who doesn't understand the difference btwn the two words. The word "baron" was never used at all. Please go back to 1st grade and learn to read. He used the word "barren" in the right context. You sir just proved your an absolute and complete idiot.

Though I really do agree with the sentiment of the author. I cannot help, but feal it has been said before. Okay every single day someone new says it. Well a few dozen new someones. The author simply says what everyone else has said, and not in a very original way.
The truth is the NGE is of such horrific quality that you can come at it from any direction, and hit the proverbial gold mine. You need not even look. Pick any particular aspect, follow it logically, and you will be tripping over serious design flaws. You cannot fail at this there is nowhere the NGE actually succeeds at anything.
That being common knowledge. I have to ask why didn't the author choose another direction of attack. Rather then the now standard frontal assault. The article comes off unimaginative, and the cliche of attacking the developement staff though very true. Probabally would not sting as much as a completely objective one. Leave your emotions at the door, and what you say carries more merit.
I like to read honest reviews of the NGE, but I felt this one was done without imagination. What the author is saying is true, but it is so generic as to not even be worth notice. Probabally not worth reading, and that is what any writer should try to avoid. Even if the readers were totally ignorant of the subject it could still have been written with a greater artistic sense.
When I read he played alot of wow my standards where lowered considerably on what to expect from the review :P

I did find the fact the interface still has major issues to be informative. A non functional interface that requires restarts to fix?
That is pretty damning of sub par quality. Talk about lame QA not picking up that flaw. As for the digs about content, cities and other various opinions I found that really lacking. He didn't use a lot of citing and examples. It makes it to much of an editorial.

That was one of the issues I had with the "review." I've not ever experienced an issue with the UI where I need to restart the game to fix it and I've not heard of others that have had such an issue until this review. Not even seen any posts about it on the Official forums.

The only thing really wrong with the article was that it basically consisted of recycled ideas that have been written a thousand times before.
What kinds of things were you going to write about Obraik? Were you going to argue that the NGE/CU has been anything short of a complete and utter failure? How can you possibly derive any enjoyment from what SWG has become? Are you f**king delusional? Please, enlighten us with your wisdom.
Stop defending the NGE already! Admit that it is a steaming pile of sh*t! Stop fooling yourself into believeing that $OE is actually trying to deliver its customer base an enjoyable game! They don't give a crap about you or anyone else. You are worse than a battered wife who stays with her abusive husband, trying to tell herself that the drunk bastard still loves her. Stop being an $OE wh*re already.
The next time you log into SWG, look around you. How many people are logged in with you? Travel to Theed, and tell me how many people are there. Then try to tell us that the NGE isn't that bad.

There were a number of things that the article wrote about, such as the UI thing, that was quite wrong or at least not as widespread as he was making them out to be.
As for the rest of your post. No, I'm not suffering from battered wife syndrome. You'd be correct if I had quit the game, re-subbed, voiced my dislike for it but continued to sub to it.
The only time I'm not around other people in game is because I choose not to be.

I don't. Pre-CU needed balance & tweaking. I look back and see fun gameplay, adventure, population, unique characters, growing player cities, hundreds of hours of fun & friends that play.
I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

I wont try to ruin those few that currently play the NGE's fun. Instead, I will say that the game in my eyes and those of the vocal and silent majority see the game in it's current state as a injustice to gamers around the globe and continue to fight for what they believe in. I respect them for that and I say fight the injustice - It shouldn't be that the people fear the direction of the game but that the developers and corporate conglomorates fear the reaction of the people to the direction of the game.
The beginning of a new era of gaming will occur when players are completely fed up with being treated like 3rd class consumers and children. Only a movement of thought and action on behalf of the player base will lead to this. Throw off your chains gamers, it's time for us to rightfully take control of the gaming industry from the inside. I salute all of you who defend the old incarnation of SWG. They shoved and we FINALLY shoved back.
