The joke is: when you play PSU online with international players and have (in my case) german item-names. If the items named something like "supermegamaxifluxmodulatorblah" and it is called in my language completely differnt, aaand in the heat of the battle someone orders me per voice to use the supermegafartoolongname... get it? Answer wouldbe something like: "WHAT THE HELL SHALL I USE, YOU BEKLOPPTER STRICHER?" I hope, there is an option to switch language to english, while playing online.
Well, If you really want the english version, then I suggest you import it from the Netherlands (we rarely translate, and if we do, then there is always an option to set it to english). I can recommend you a good online store, I order all my games from there and I have never been let down, they also do imports ( I believe)

Its a product released by a company, the company owes you NOTHING as you have invested NOTHING into it, unless you preordered and then you shouldve done research first if this kind of thing is an issue to you.
The company can do WHATEVER they want with their product and they owe you NOTHING in return, and i'm sure you've agreed to contracts of those natures while signing up for the game.
I have been playing PSO for quite a few years. I have helped, along with thousands of other people, Sonic team to become what it is today.
Also, for your research comment, it was NEVER mentioned by Sonic Team that they would block european cards. "the BUY NOW!" only had "US ONLY" tag added shortly ago. people couldn't have researched it.
Do they owe it to us? No. but does that make it fair? Heck no. We pay the exact same amount of money (in fact, We are paying MORE money) as US citizens. yet we don't get the same treatment.
1, this isnt psu...your point here doesnt matter at all....
2, i knew it was coming out in the us before europe several months ago
3, the arguement was about being fair...it was about getting screwed...besides, you didnt HAVE to pay for the game if you really think you are getting screwed.

1: that does not take away that european fans also helped Sonic Team become what it is today.
2: Me too, but I wil bet my right arm for it that you didn't know that Euro credit cards would be blocked, that it would be impossible to import the game. they got the money, both importers and US players have the game now, but only if your in the US, your allowed to play online. you can't deny that is unfair treatment.
3: ofcourse I don't HAVE to, but that is not what this topic is about. you can't deny that having the US release a FULL MONTH before the EU release, is unfair treatment. not to mention that its already a given PSU will have pvp implanted at a later stage, giving US players a FULL MONTH extra to advance.
your points are invalid. ofcourse they don't OWE it to us, but that does not take away Europeans get screwed more once again.
It's kindo lame that we get it one month later, yes. Not that I will really care THAT much... I'll probably just play the game and hope there will be enough people playing the xbox 360 version so online mode won't be a total waste ^^
We americans dont even have a release date yet for the nintendo DS lite opera browser that you blokes are currently enjoying. I would take that over PS any day....

Thats a first time, because close to everything in the history of gaming was released in the US first before it releases in the EU. heck, there isn't even a release date for FFXII for europe yet!

Its simple - Stop buying from these fascists. If they held their hand up and said "Well our EU division is crap and they couldnt be bothered licensing the game fast enough" then I'd understand but personally I dont want to wait 1 month for every expansion, patch and scrimpet of news so I wont be playing PSU.

Seriously, every single MMO company, with the exception of a few of them, are in it for the money. So, with the releases in the US and Japan, they hope that Europe will get some uber fanatical PSU cult. They are hoping that by making the wait longer, word will have more time to spread, thus mor people buy, thus more money to make.
Plus, with the whole credit card fiasco, that European players can't subscribe on a pre-ordered copy they got from America unless they have an American credit card, let me say this. I think that is just Sega trying to make it clear that they won't accept a lot of the cheating that happened in previous games (PSO *cough*).
But yeah, just deal. Your life isnt over. You'll get it soon. You won't be too far behind everyone, because power gamers will likely start toons.
EDIT: ALSO, you won't be one month behind on all patches and stuff. After initial release, patches will affect both EU and US servers at the same time. If I am mistaken on this, and there is specific evidence saying otherwise, my bad, and Sega needs to get their collective heads out of their asses.
Seems unfair to us poor EU peeps. *strikes game off interested list*
