Im getting a new computer soon but have a question about connection types. I have found a bridge which will run at the same max speed as my router, I was wondering however wether a wired connection would still be a better option or not. The two computers will be 10-15m away from eachother. My conection speed is 8mb.
Thanks for reading, any help appreciated.

PS: My connection speed is 1024/256 kbps.
Wallo
Is it a straight shot between the computers or is there a wall? If there is a wall, is it wood or metal construction? Are you running any devices that might create electronic noise (microwaves, large power supplies, generators, etc.) near the computers?
Even if you have nothing to interfere with a wireless connection, I would still recommend going with a wired connection unless you can't stand the presence of the cables or you plan to do lots of file transfer between the two boxes. Wired is still cheaper and provides better connection across that distance unless you are using a crappy router or cables. Worst case scenario puts you at around 10Mb connection between the boxes and that's still higher than your broadband out. Just make sure you are using high quality cables to maximize the connection.
If file transfer is of interest, go with the wireless because speeds on those connections are passing 108 Mbps for a reasonable amount of money. Make sure if you go wireless to buy WPA compatible (WPA2 preferred) cards and routers for best security on your network.
Nobody is perfect, i'm nobody........
If you're going to play games, definitely put your gaming machine on the wired network. You'll typically have lower latency and a more reliable connection on wired.
You can always add a wireless computer or two to the network if you want the convenience of moving around (laptop/notebook, for example), but keep your main gaming machine wired directly.
just make sure you secure it! Im so surprised by some (if not most)
router's default setup - they do not enable wireless encryption. Anyone
with wireless card can pick up your network if its not encrypted.
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

Wireless sucks.
go wired cause if you go wireless then all the electrons have to be teleported through the air and the air as you know causes alot of friction and that will slow down the electrons in transit. That all translates into LAG and lag is bad for pwnage.
