Wow, thanks keeping forgetting how big warhammer is. BTw, I've heard around that there the fantasy world was part of the imperium of man but chaos warps closed it off to thier counterparts. GW then got rid of this lore. Now I kinda like this idea, why get rid of it?

I think it was because it got too confusing. Although, I think it's cooler if 40k is conected to Fantasy too. But then again, if you look at comic books, sometimes one author will drop an idea because it's confusing and then a later author will take over the story and add it back into the story. Maybe Mythic will do the same?

I agree with you, it seemed cooler, and I don't find the idea confusing at all. But GW dropped the lore out of thier reprinted army books. Alot of older fans remember it still though, so its possible to incorporate it into the game.
It was also changed (I heard) becuase it messed with some ideas and fluff and what not in both so they are now completely split as far as offical fluff and storylines go.

Afaik the warhammer fantasy world is within the Eye of Terror (A gigantic rift in space where Chaos rules [Think of planets raining blood or having oceans of luminescant liquids]) The world was one of the Old Ones stronghiolds and still has protective barriers. The one weak point is the north where the Old Ones constructed their warp gate (I think there was also one in the south), and this is where Chaos pours through (pure Chaos that is, not existing forces within the Eye.).
I don't actually know if its canon lore, or if it was made up by some people to explain the crossover of races between early fantasy and rogue trader (which became 40K)

well the warhammer world itself is allready big enough for lots of expansions, I think they will first add all warhammer races and lands before thinking of making a new world. That would probably be a new game about WH40k what you want
I myself dont like the idea of the 40k and fantsay relams being the same universe because wheres warhammer modern then you know. it goes from fantasy to 40k never metioning anything in between. it makes more sense that they are seperate IMO. Also alot of the races are missing from between them, and vampire counts just dont sound right in space lol.

Great point made here. Just keep them separate because if you want something Fantasy then play Warhammer and if you want sci-fi, Warhammer 40k.
Isn't the timeline in the Warhammer lore a little goofed up as well as far as technological and human development goes? I could swear that the timeline of many of the Warhammer stories starts in pre-Sigmar days to a good 1800-2200 years after his ascendance. All the while its still a "Medieval-isqe" setting with a few advancements here and there (ie, gunpowder, magic, weaponry). My point is just let sleeping dogs lie and don't try to mess with the system that works by involving two separate time periods. I'm sure the Empire would get a big surprise to find out that everyone is kinda "alien" except for them.
As for other races and civilizations in the Warhammer world, isn't there another race of humans farther east of Cathay? I've always viewed Cathay as the distant Arabic/Persian empire of Warhammer. Isn't there a Japanese type and don't they have a big religion based on dragons like Ulric is related to Wolves?
Also where can I find some more definite information about Chaos Dwarves? I know a lot about all the other races and armies but never finding anything about Chaos Dwarves. I know they use to have an army book and for Games Workshop to incorporate them into the recent Chaos Hell Cannon Crew, surely they have a bright future. Thanks for your time guys!

Theres actually a land called Araby which i think is supposed to be similar to the middle eastern countries. And near Cathay is an island called nippon whcih reminds me of japan.
Comments
Land of the dead is at the bottom, The Dark Lands to the east are the home of the Chaos Dwarves (Its also the main trade route to Cathay)
It is in it's final stages of development, so give it a little bit before it is completed.
