    I"m getting a "Disabled Non Retail Account Queued For Creation" when I sign up with the serial given. And it won't let me do anything unless I add a credit card to the account. Did I miss something? :(

    I also have the problem that is requests a credit card to use the free trial, i would have to say there is some problem, or mix up in the system.

    This trial is not supposed to require a credit card unless you decide to stay after the 14 day trial.  I have someone from NCSoft looking at what you are reporting...should have something for you soon.

    It appears that everyone is getting leftover beta keys. It will add the game to the game list on the account manager but it will then ask for a retail key to activate. The keys from here will not activate the game.

    I am hoping they can get this resolved, I am going to try this out since archlord turned out to be kind of a bust.

    I think these keys are useless... i mean.. you get  these keys, but you can't play the game til you buy the REAL retail keys?

    This to me shows nothing but incompetence on NCsoft's part. I'm uninstalling. Rest of ya have fun.

    The following is the email you get from activating the key from here. I've highlighted what seems to be the important part.

    got a couple crazies completely trashing the game because of one tiny mistake.

    notice the game servers are down for maintenance or whatever. probably has something to do with it.

    patiently waiting on mine as well

    The last trial they had here (CoH/CoV) also said no EU but worked fine anyway for me in Sweden (and no I didn't not fake my address).

    Everything works find until i try to DL the client from Fileplanet. First time i got in a que and got to like 10th in line and it gave me some bogus screen about ques are full or server or some crap. Anyway, cant even pull up fileplanet now so i guess someone shot the hampster that was powering thier servers =p On a more serious note, Im really glad to see this trial come out. I have always wanted to try L2 so I hope they get this fixed soon

    Hehe, I just registered for the sake of replying here..


    If some of you are questionning L2's ability to enforce their game rule and control their servers, well check this pict: yes that's L2, chronicle 5 and that's Teon, the new server.

    Now how I understand the recent massban of cheaters that occurred in L2.. maybe they wanted to clear the field for ppl, or force the addict to re-create an account. The game itself is great for pvp, the political struggle and social interractions you will get there are like nowhere else, it trully shine in that regard.

    On the other hand, the complete abcense of GMs ingame (well the official forum is nicelly censo... oup.. controlled: never mention "walker" over there lol.. nor "bot", they will auto-delete your thread cause it's a "known issue" haha) makes it a true Bot, ebay, plvl.. in a word a true cheater heaven! As a legit, you will have to struggle and fight not only the botters who are using 3rd party illegual program to level faster than you, farm mat faster than you, earn money faster than you but also with ebayers who get top gears easier than you and as a consequence, you will have to fight their associate: the ebay farmers, who aren't there to play the game but to earn their irl life.


    I've quit recently after C5, when I rerolled on Teon , the new server, only to find out bot and cheaters  everywhere.. I mean 80 or 90% of the toons over there were bots! A level 70 player was there (this is high level, legitely it takes you months to get 70.. especially in a brand new server and economy) only few weeks after launch.. I maen come on! Most legit there litterally gave up petitionning cheaters for the simple reason that according to NC, you must investigate for several weeks before banning someone's account: a ban is a serious thing so they said... lol, watch my previous pict and tell me how long would it take you to ban such toons ?

    If cheating is your thing though, then I agree that you should definitely try Lineage2 out, if you absolutely don't care that the other players might cheat or if you think that the competitive aspect of a Mass pvp castle siege game is not that important (in a word , if you are willing to give up the competition and pvp) than the game might be interesting as well. Also, not that it as ever been an issue for me but if you are the kind of player who apologies ingame after saying "f u k".. then make sure to understand that in L2, you apologies for not saying it.


    Am I proud of destroying this advertisment? Not at all.. I really feel bad, I was/am after all an Open Beta player, I've played it fully legit, hell even 2-boxing (running a support toon in a 2nd account to ensure your main toon with full-time outbuffs) is too much for me.. but the complete lack of enforcment of their policy made my day. So take this as a warning, this game is litterally crowling under cheat (ab)use..

    To me, the true sad part of this is that I've witness the slight change of the community, tolerating what should never be tolerated: early in Prelude (Beta) and Chronicle 1, an ebayer would have been banned from any clan.. now it's more a legit that won't certainly not find a clan, especially in the top levels.


    To top it off, all these cheats are like the tree hidding the forest of gameplay issues: the economy, the pvp, the xp.. all of these are oriented mainly for Korean market, who enjoy full and crowed servers, with regular arrivals of newbies.. nothing to do with the emptiness of some of the NA servers.


    Enjoy the trial however, L2 graphic details, weapon and armor design are prolly the most beautifull I know of.
