I keep downloading Betas only to find out they do not work with x64 o/s.
Can anyone recommend any that are confirmed to work fine? I am sort of waiting for pristontales2 as its built with an engine that I know will work. But any others would be great.
It's a tragedy when a family is torn apart. Especially when it's done by a pack of ravenous wolves.
im getting a "page no longer exists error with that link". But I do know of the mmo list here if that is what it was. It's just that alot of the games (or rather the hack guard software) seem not to work with windows xp x64 bit o/s. So I was hoping some users who run this o/s might know of some games that do work succefully.

strange about the link thing . but anyways did you try ragnarok online private servers . those are fun and i dont think they use hackguards. so you may want to check them out. also u should check against what kind of guards your windows blocks. that could help you alot with searching games . or you could always buy windows xp prof, or windows xp home edition.
Not sure if Vanguard is in open beta or will have one so you might be a bit late with regard to getting into the beta but it might be one to look in to, if you look on the general discussion of the game FAQs on the official vanguard site they have used XP 64 to test the game and claim the game will be fully compatible when it is released.
Does it have to be a Beta of a game? or will you consider final releases too?
Saga of Ryzom will also run on 64 bit machines, not sure of other games though.
EDIT: lol nvm the edit, it wasnt necessary after all :P
redhead obviously you havent read the topic. cause you would know about the mmo list in the pub section. check it there please dont post something like that in just some topic
IT doesnt matter to me if they game is Demo or P2p but i do generaly like to try the game before I buy.
Yes Windows xp runs "most" 32 bit applications, and in general its not the games that I have been having a problem with but the anti-hacking software. They won't let x64 os get past it. Its a known issue and companies such as Hackshield are aware of this and have stated they will not make patches until 1rst quarter 2007. So Rapplez is out of the question among many other games.
and its not only games, trying to get wireless internet was a pain, even d-link has no x64 drivers so I had to find a user-made hack just to get my internet at home. So as compatible as ms tried to make it, its not as compatible as I would like. To bad because its a blazing fast o/s but it looks like a few more years yet until companies catch up with it.

Google WinLauncherXP. I had that problem with my AMD 64x2. Any of the games that give me a hassle via normal launch, I launch with WinLauncherXP and the problems are solved. Hope that helps.
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:
"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

There is a way to disable all of that, I have seen it in an online guide.
I will try to find it and provide the link.
Er I am thinking about sonthing else, but I will look for workarounds.
Here is a small explanation of XP64 DEP and how to configure it.

Like someone else said, you should be able to run 32bit MMO's on Windows 64.
If not, just wait out for Vanguard.

Do not hate it, but instead embrace the diversity.
