Hi, im realy looking thorword this game.My question is will u clik ur hotkeys to slash around or will u click the left mouse button? thx for the reply (sorry if the info about combat sistem isn't realesed yet :>)
your attacks will be linked to the numpad so you can choose the direction of your attacks. They did say there were looking into how you'd do it w/o numpad to make it mouse only but I believe they said it would be easier to use the numpad.
"You just pick up the sword, and smite! Seriously, yes, you can use a gamepad. In fact, that is my favorite method, the rumble when you hit really hard make it all that more realistic. All control and the GUI is designed to work with next generation consoles as well as the PC. In addition you can control combat by using the numeric keyboard for the six directional attacks, or simply click around the opponent with your mouse. There are numerous ways of controlling your character, and all of them can be customized by the player. Nothing is as intimately personal, as the control of the game, I think.
What the above poster said, it can be either, the interface is fully customizable.

There will be hot keys, fully customizible to your taste, there will also be little interface that will allow you to use your mouse and decide direction of your strike. It works like this, once you are engaged into combat, imagine a semi-transperant circle at the bottom of your screen (middle), not too big, but big enough for you to click on different parts of it. That circele will be broken down into 6 areas, which area of the circle you click on will dictate how your strike will play. It's very elegant.
The gamepad thing doesnt bother me one way or the other. IMO it will be easier to play with the keyboard anyway since u will still have to type to communicate most of the time. Even if they come out with the console version it will need a keyboard anyway like EQ on PS

From my understanding when combat time came, everyone had headsets and gamepads and it worked fine, and it worked finr for those on keyboards...
