There is nothing "cute" or beautiful" about a Warrior-Priest that has just crushed some mutants skull. Trust me.
Warhammer's Empire arent like the ordinary humans you find in games these days. The Empire are as hard as they have to be, and thats hard as steel when you take a look around you and realize that Chaos is everywhere, Orcs are constantly attacking you and the skaven is digging beneath your cities. I wouldnt worry to much about everyone playing Empire because they're cute.

This makes me very concerned for what the gameworld is going to look like. Warhammer has never been a "realistic" looking setting, it's always been an outrageous over the top setting. I hope they aren't trying to make Dark Age of Warhammer.
Because that's why it's called Warhammer Fantasy, because it's not real life... In the real Middle Ages, people had pockmarked skin, missing teeth, greasy hair, and smelled bad. If my choice is realistic looking medieval ladies or porn stars, I'll take the porn stars!
well personally id rather play a big grumbling ugly orc with your skull lined on his pauldron, then a pretty little goody flower boy w/ dandelions stuck in his hair... just my personal opinion though.
what will make this game better for me is if they had more than 3 vs 3 races .... more than 4 vs 4 races but if they had atleast 6 or 7 races on one "team"
for example in WoW theres the humans , dwarfs , gnomes , elfs so 4 and on the other team trolls , tauren , undead, orcs
THEY NEED MORE THAN THIS because of the simple fact... people will see it as ezactly the same as WoW.. and to be honest i think it looks too similar at this time. they need to make something that stands this mmorpg out from the rest... chuck in some new classes / races!!! comeon!!!!!

Less races big deal, talk about how classes are unique to each realm in WAR. There not 1 unique class in wow, you had paladin and shaman, now with BC expansion each realm get all the same classes.
Oh and BTW look at all the damn races they can add to the game via expansion. It's amazing
Personally I am not worried. I played DAOC and it had more than enough classes and races. There are always expansions and daoc added many interesting races and classes to the expansions. There is no reason they couldnt do the same with warhamer.
I have played other mmos and I dont think any game that came after WoW is a direct WoW ripoff. Like I said I HAVE PLAYED OTHER MMO's. EVERYTHING doesnt go back to WoW.

exactly your missing the point bud, in wow there was 8 races yeah opposed to the 6 in WAR, but only 9 classes to play, each race was just... same class different character model.
In WAR there will be 24 classes at launch!! ofc some will resemble others like Orc Choppa + Dwarf Hammer.. they are both mele dps classes, but the tecniques to get max damage out of em will differ somewhat. unlike in WoW for example a human + undead warrior, racials were the only thing differetn about them.. kinda simple if you ask me.
The best thing tho, is the HUGE amount of lore NOT being included in the release of Warhamemr, this makes for many expansions.

What people don't seem to understand is that EA is handling hte marketing aspect of WAR, Mythic belongs to EA now, but Warhammer itself belongs to GW, and GW is fully capable of pulling the plug as they did with climax, GW has a point on making sure thier lore goes uncorrupted and merchandise stay pure. Everything in WAR has to be okayed by GW. People always seem to leave GW out of the equation.
As to the classes, there are 24! The black orc and hammeer, the hammerer will attack faster the more his allies are attacked and the blackorc will use any low blow to get around his enemies, while each race's class will have a counter part, they will play differently than them.

i have completely forgot about the whole diffrent races but also the classes that are unique to each race. i personally will play this game!
