    Whats a hero class?

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

There is no such thing as a casual MMO player.  Now there are various degrees of MMO players but none of them are casual.

*yawns* that sure was fun for someone that does enjoy powerlevelling. You are aware that he did that in nearly 6 consecutive days, like not even a couple of hours sleep each night. Or are you really so green behind your ears as you make out to be. Now do the math, say 22 hours a day, 6 days .... nuff said. Go home and come back when you got the real facts.

Real facts are you can level faster in WoW then any other game out there and still have as much as fun and keep a healthy life style.
I assume you are discounting Guild Wars?  Also you are essentially discounting any non-level game as well.

This irrational fanboism is silly.  If you like WoW fine but making silly claims about how WoW cures cancer and other games kick you in the testicles is silly.  We all know that applies to Eve.

*coughs* and when have you been out last time? I mean WoW is such a huge time sink, like err, all other mmo's can be. The friends I have that play WoW haven't seen the light of day in like as long as WoW exists. I mean fair play. Each to its own opinion, but please do get your facts straight. And so because I do not lay WoW I do not have a life? You are so so funny. I actually can have my game on while working. I can do that because I work 6 days a week, 12 - 14 hours a day. Can't play it constantly, because I am working, but I can be logged in look what is going on, do some trades and all that stuff. So when I come home, I usually just, ... have a life as you call it. Oh, btw, my mmorpg (yes it is a mmorpg, not just an mmo) has not even got levels image

Just for the record the MMO you speak of, in my opinion is the best that ever was.  Not because of sub numbers, not because of quests.... because it was capabale of doing just about everything a major MMO of today simply can not accomplish.  Keep fighting the good fight for Britania.

Otherwise grats for WoW for helping to bring MMO's to the mainstream, and every adult gamers nightmare to life.

......The majority of WoW players are not lifeless computer nerds, but the majority of lifeless computer nerds are WoW players.

Yes but lets compare to EQ/lineage II/ EVE to WoW. You have to grind for long periods of hours, sitting home for hours on end grinding the same mobs over and over again till you reach end game to have some fun. Now in WoW you can log on for an hour and have loads of fun and getting a couple levels in a hour too.

EQ and EVE have endgame? First I'm hearing about it.

EVE has an endgame...its just that nobody ever reached that endgame heheh (and won't reach for quite a while. I heard somewhere to fully max your skills in EVE, it takes a great number of years).
Actually its essential;ly impossible as new skills are meant to be added in such a way that it would be impossible to ever max out.

I play 2 hours of MMOGs a week, tops.

In fairness though, I play a game which is very casual-friendly, so 2 hours a week is more then enough to keep up with the Joneses.

A year ago someone actually made an estimate based on his charecters atributes he said around 15 years.

Since them tho more high level skills have been added.

You are soo far from the truth it isnt even funny ...

WoW is one of the most addictive and time consuming games on the market.

Honestly throw Eve Online, SWG, DAoC, Ultima Online together and you are still not at the same level of a time sink.

You obviously never done high end instancing, the end game in WoW, what this game is actually all about.

You realise many many guilds have minimum standards for how much you have to play to be allowed to stay in the guild?

omg really, WoW is many things ( including alot of good things ) but most certainly NOT a casual game.

wow is an ok game for the gemeral masses whom like wrapped up packaged genereic, simple stuff, i play wow, but it bores me very, very easily, i prefer long winding branching quests, i am actually hoping myst online will deliver this better than my current mmo, wow will always be a thing i can go on and hang with my doped up stoner friends who cant handle more complicated things, i tried to get them to come to other games, but they just couldn't understand it as it seemed for them complicated for some odd reason, so they stick with wow, when i want to hang with them ingame i play wow, when i want a challenge and something thta holds my intelect to some higher standard than cartoons i look elsewhere, since i have quit drugs 2 years ago wow has lost my interest, but all my stoner friends still play it, and thats fine, nothing wrong with that.

    playing eq2 and two worlds

Not even that is true, nowadays you level to 50 faster in DAoC then you level to 60 in WoW.

1 difference, once you are at the DAoC endgame, you dont HAVE to play everyday, while in WoW you DO have to play everyday, cause otherwise your guild will kick you or your guild wont progress further in the instance.

lhmm some people think the only way to reach the end game is to max your char :p

the endgame in eve does not require you to max all the skills.

Judging by your post, you don't have a 60 so you don't know how much that sucks.

Just thought id point out that by saying something is a matter of opinion and then declaring that it is something completely different according to your opinions is a self contradiction..haha anyways, i have two level 60s in Wow and despite the lock of character levels I would agree that the game is still by far one of the best as far as entertainment, originality, and overall mmo material goes on the market. Im definitely looking forward to an expansion.
