I red on the L2 site that clan wars and sieges have to be approved by both clans. If you allready control a castle, why should you accept the challenge? I mean, you have everthing to win by not accepting and everything to losse if you do. Can someone explain this, cause I must have got it wrong...

As I understand it, by owning the castle, you're giving your implied consent to sieges.
And you are correct about wars, but I assure you that wars will be fought whether people consent or not. After you reach higher mid-level, karma isn't a problem anymore--only one more thorn in your side.

You can't not (heh, double negative) accept the seige offer. If the owner of the castle does not choose a time it defaults to two weeks from when the request is made.

The approval is just so that a clan wont pick an odd time to siege when the defenders aren't online. Once a challenge is put forward the defender picks a time or it defaults to 2 weeks as stated above.
As for Karma not being a problem in mid levels, well I just hope hes wrong and it still increases your drop rate to be red but I don't really know. Clan wars are going to happen (they are fun!) but there should still be high penalties for red named players for their indiscriminate pking.
Being mid-level has nothing to do with your increased drop rate when being red... I never even hinted at that. I just mentioned that when you're at that level, it isn't THAT big of a deal to unchao (or unkarma, I guess you could call it in Lin2) and wars will find a way to happen, even if one side of the battle doesn't agree to one.

The level cap is only something they did in one over seas version and it was only temp. NCS has stated that they do not want a level cap at all.

I have read somethign about a "soft-cap at LVL 100".
If I got that right, this means you LVL counter counts up to LVL 100 but not any further, tho you are still able to gain SP and XP to learn new traits, skills and stuff...
cap is 75 atm.
