Fileplanet.com is currently allowing up to 5000 players to be in the closed beta if they're a subscriber. Just letting ya know the heads up.

    Tell me again, how is FP crappy? Fastest downloads I can get (430kb/s), and tons of exclusives, not to mention nearly every damn file I need.

    But on an unrelated note, don't get attached to chars? Hehe...char wipe soon I assume?

    Fileplanet is probably one of the best ways you can get a file as they have a huge list meaning if it's hard to find chances are it'll be located there. Yes, you may have to wait in line for 30 min to an hour but when you start your download you'll get 400KB/s+ which is well worth the wait. Problem is that most people just refuse to wait so therefore the service they provide just isn't good enough for some.

    Question about the FilePlanet L2 Beta givewaway...

    Does anyone know how to actually acquire the beta account key on FilePlanet?  It says that they are giving them out on a first come first serve basis yet it doesn't tell you how to request one??? Just curious if anyone here knew about it.

    they usually give you the key while you are installing, it will tell you to click a button and it will send you to a site with the key. it also sends it to the address you use to sign in whn you click on the button. never been in one of these beta things, but thats how it is with normal demos/trials.

    Thanks for the info..and that is exactly how it happened.  Downloaded the beta install and ran it...sent me right to the site for my key.  Thanks! ;-)

    Yep, you'll find all the FP betas usually do that. And they usually freeze my comp up when trying to open IE :P
