Starcraft Online?

I don't know about anyone else but I think (if done properly)  the Starcraft theme could be done well.

Start off with:

Zerg are an NPC race that is threatening the universe.  Terrans and Protoss occasionally work together but also fight.  Have contested zones where skirmishes and all out pvp happens where the races are struggling for resources.  Then have allied zones where there are serious zerg threats and you get dishonor for pvp...but it is still allowed if you so choose.  In those zones however the common enemy is the Zerg.  Then you have like your homeworld/base/whatever zones.

Terran Race

Classes

1) Marine (which could have several paths typical marine or firebat or others)

2) Medic (healer class...wait...did I really have to explain that one...um...no)

3) Ghost (derrr...stealth perhaps)

4) Pilot/Tech class (fly things make things fix things..whatever...has possiblities)

Protoss Race

Classes

1) Zealot (marine/fighter equivalent)

2) High Templar (caster/range type)

3) Dark Templar (stealth)

4) Pilot/Tech (flies things or builds robots like the dragoons--starting small at first)

Protoss have no healer class since they have shields.  These two differences would change the actics in which Protoss and Terrans are played.  one thing I dislike with other games where the only true difference is the graphics...but pretty much every race is played the same....

The pilots could start off with low piloting abilities only piloting smaller vehicles but gain the ability to pilot larger vehicles with levels.  The larger vehicles perhaps requiring more than one pilot to control flight and weapons.

Vehicles not being able to be owned by any one player but being used by players in the grand scheme of the battle at hand.

Just an idea....I know one that has been talked about before....one that Blizzard has said they will not do...but I still think it is an idea that could work if done well.  Blizzard seems to always do everything right...they could step in to the next gen MMORPGS with something like making it completely different and new in comparison to WOW.

Anyways....I would give it a chance....

    Considering the fact they'd probably do it almost just like WoW, I don't think I'd be interested. 

    What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?

    Part of the premise of the idea is that they would do it differently....

    Each race having a different style of play...kind of what I was saying there...
