FilePlanet is hosting a closed beta for Founders' Club and FilePlanet Subscribers for Lineage II! Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle is the much-anticipated sequel to the world's most popular massively multiplayer online game. Enter a world of intrigue and deception as you fight or align with treacherous rival clans, plot revenge against a lone assassin or fend off majestic beasts in the magical world pf Aden.

We will be giving out 5000 keys per week for three weeks on a first come, first served basis. If you are lucky enough to get a beta key, congratulations! If not, please come back to FilePlanet on 3/24/04 and try your hand again.

NOTE: This closed beta is for North America residents only. Be sure to check out the Lineage II promotion for full details!

    So instead of paying nothing by preordering Lineage 2 online and knowing for sure you will get the CD key for closed beta, or even paying 10.00 dollars and getting ten dollars off the game at its release, you want us to pay $6.95 so we may be "lucky enough to get a beta key"???

    Next time you choose to do this horrible marketing scheme, here is some advice so you don't look as retarded as you do here.

    1) Sign up to the forums sometime before you decide to post there, not six minutes before you type your advertisement trying to make it sound like you read this forum all the time.

    2) Have your buddy do the same (at the least have him sign up at a different time then you did) and make sure your buddy thinks up something cleverer then "I've been surfin looking for Lineage 2 stuff all night long". If he had been surfing all night long and was a subscriber to file planet he sure as hell would have found that info long before he ever decided to come here to type his only ever post in response to how great this offer is.

    I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

    I wasnt trying to make fileplanet look like a jacket ass, if you were already a fileplanet member and havnt checked out the site in a day or two. If you were not, I just provided the info for people who may want to try it out.

    Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean someone else wont.

    You do not even know me. Just because this is my first post doesnt mean this is my first time here. I have been surfing these boards for months.     I am so sorry you didn't like the warm welcome. My sincerest apologizes, you obviously care deeply about sharing information with our community sense you have been coming here for months and not partaking in a single conversation about the game and didn't care to ever register to our community that you seem to care so much about, until this wonderful deal of spending money to possibly win a give away contest came around.

    You sound like an honest fellow and I believe you deeply. Welcome to our world, if you don't like... you should be gone, valiant effort on trying to clear your name though. You want to clear your name and prove me wrong, stick around for a few months while engrossed in conversations with us and show us that I am wrong, then I'll eat my words.

    Im not a moron, I know when I signed up and I signed up because I had something to say. Just because a person never signs up doesnt mean that they havnt been browsing the boards for months, hell even years. Sorry to burst your intellectual bubble there, you assume to much pal.

    1. No, you have to download the beta. Once installation has begun, a explorer page will appear in fileplanet with your beta Cd key.

    2. That is the chance, I just posted the info.

    Yes after looking back at my first post I would agree its frankly lame. I had intentions on posting it normaly, but I got lazy and just copy and pasted the info. As far as a marketing scheme goes, nah it wasnt intented as one. Infact I hate marketing.

    In an attempt to purge the distaste I currently have for your approached marketing endeavor; let me ask you a few questions.

    1) If you are a current subscriber to File Planet, are you automatically entered in this contest?

    Please stop arguing. It´s tiresome. Anyway, I got a question about the Fileplanet betakeys.  Did any europeans try this even though its states that it´s only fro americans? I mean, how can they control your residence? Bye the way, I think it sucks that we europeans are being discriminated this way. This could had been a cheap way for us to get in to the beta. The alternative, to preorder the game and get a bonus cd shipped over the Atlantic is way too expensive (costs us just as much as the actual game).

    well i'm unsure of how to stop the euro from getting into that contest, i do know why betas exclude some countries. the biggest reason is that the compnay does not have the wide range of server support yet, so bascially, any1 in europe would have to connect to a west american server = major lag, and they dont' want your first experience to have the slightest chance of lag. so they won't offer it to you guys until they have a server in europe.
