Former Player who wants to return

Hey people, I've got a problem on my hands, you see im 15 years old so obviously I need the consent of my mum and dad to play SWG as a credit card is needed.

That's where the problem lies you see, back in the day I was allowed to play, but now my mum says i can't have the game because she thinks it's a con taking £10 a month, even though I said I'd pay every month she still says no.

I notice that this is the veteran forum so maybe a few of you who are former members think she's right, that may be the case however i havn't played since March this year and I really do want to play again.

Please help me to convince my parents, give me some advice, you know like some key pros to having the game, it just might get me back on the SWG servers again.

yes I think you should play even though I can not think of anything good to say as a pro to play ??? you see y-wing youre mom probaly played swg and loved it now they stripped that for kids now so i would say she is wise

I don't know how things work there, but pre-order boxes don't move off the shelf, they're there as advertisments more then a symbol of how many boxes are available. I'm friends with one of the guys that runs the local EBgames so I'll be nagging him every few weeks for info on how well the game is doing here

You take a pre order box off the shelf and take it to the counter and buy the preorder... Its 10.00.. The pre order for DDO had the stuff inside the box to claim the "founders special rewards" or whatever they called it.

Take it as a sign. There is very little left of the game in it's current form, and not worth the subscription fee right now. Only reason I am still there is because I have some responsibilities to our guild and some members. After that, if things don't start improving, I am transfering the guild and leaving. Not going to Wow either.

Obraik will cheer you up though. He plays a special server that has 100,000 people alone all happy. (just teasing as usual Obraik)

This product based on it's success, track record, reports, press and general comments from people with common sense should be enough for you to realize this product is not worth any amount of money.

Some of us had it free and played it twice to see just how bad it really still is.

READ SOME OF THE PRESS on this product.

READ SOME OF THE comments, from the creator of it.

READ SOME OF THE COMMENTS from thier own producers and comments that have been made from the president of the company "Wishing he had not done this version of the game", to the creator "Saying this was a mistake to do to the player base"

When you see nothing but 90% bad reviews and comments you just have to use your logic and common sense... even though your 15 --

Your folks should at least look into this product as just that --- a product, then judge it based on it's success.
