OK, first of all yall people are just hating on a game that has only been out for a year.
" ITS THE COMPANYS FIRST MMMORPG."
Every companys first games ar enot really good thats why they fix them.
Some people dont like game thats understandable im going to list the pluses to game now.
{ These are personall like and dislikes }
* Auction House/ A.H. *
Ok, this feature is amazing becuase most merchants through the town dont hold that many items. So the A.h. makes up for have mostly all items that are in the game. But most of time over priced so make sure you cannot get them at merchants or offer lower prices for lowest priced itmes.
* Combate System *
There is lots of wepeans and the combate system in my eyes is amazing.
* Zones *
The zones in the game are amazing becuase there are plenty of them to go to.
* Races *
Plenty of races to choose from.
* ownership of area asserted by kingdoms ruling area *
OK, fight for more is the thing here so i love this feature good feature it is aye.
Heres the lows
Ok the lows of the game are not plenty for me the only things i dont like is the hardness it is to lvl wich requrs more of my time. But i can deal with this.
Im sry cant think of much more right now.
Most of you complain cuase lack of colors well.
In medevil times there was not of armor color but gray/silver. So they may have to this into conserderation. And there is lots of colors in game just need right armor.
* Issues with Controls *
Most people hate the controls you can change them by switch to compact keyboard with FPS controls W/A/D/S controls much easier to control pluse easily handable you must play more then 2 DAYS TO FIND THIS OUT.
* DIVERSITY OF MONSTERS *
Ok i know this is a game problem but there are plenty of monsters to fight. And more can be added so sush with complaints about this and stop whinning.
Im dont all i have to say is FFX1 is a great game but you need to udnerstand it to have fun.

I know about the Franchise i've beatin most of the games.
If you would have possibly stop...then thought about what the article was about then you would have noticed i was talking about mmorpg jumping to conclusions is always bad my friend.

The answer to people who put down FFXI is that you gotta play the game that's right for you. Dont attack a game because the features that they boast are not what you want.
I cant explain it but I have never been more enthusiastic for any game since I satarted EQ for the first time.
I think at its core, the best part of the game is potential. Im having fun right now and the game has the potential to give a character an epic adventure like that you would find in an FF game.
I also like to address the "problem" of forced group. There never has, nor ever will be a final fantasy where it is completed or even played with one character solo. So why someone would expect there to be a capacity for soloing in and FF ORPG is beyond me. I personally enjoy the prospect of making a story for myself and having epic adventures with my friends, soloing a dragon is bravado, conquering it together is a triumph.

that might be the stupidest post ive ever seen
. first off, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally love the game, but the people badmouthing the game are even more important than the people that say good things about it. Nintendo Power for example, said ONLY good things about their games and never told the downsides, which would lead you to buying crappy nintendo games. People ask for others opinions and not everyone can say "Great game" or else the people buying it might not notice the downsides and end up hating it. Also, a crappy game is a crappy game. You said it was the companies first MMORPG, that doesnt make it good. Ragnarok online was probably that companies first MMORPG, and it shows! It still doesnt make it better then if it was the companies 5th or 6th mmorpg. Square Enix's patches might fix the game but some things they did are probably unfixeable. The game is good IMO, what others think is important too. People are allowed to hate FFXI

FF11 aint your life...its just a game...im currently playing it...its very good...graphics awesome...and everything else.....
2. I feel sorry for does who plays FF11 24/7...*and* most of those players are married...like arent they suppose to spend time with his/her family rather then playing FF11?? those people are probably brainless....no life...
3. For me i played FF11 for about 2 months???lost count...and im quiting....going to spend more time with friends and family...so yeah hope this reply will help some players out...to make their decision.....about their life.....and if you dont understand what im saying..im sorry..im japanese trying my best to write this out
People have a right to their opinion and to hate a game (and post their displeasure) if they want.
Secondly, Shadows, it's MHO that you should NOT be playing FFXI when your grammar is so horrendous. Your parents should of taken away your playing privileges until your grades came up.
School is infinitely more important than playing an online game. I've encountered more and more teens that are suffering in school because they only think about and play MMORPGs.

Lets all spread our wisdom to these unfortunate kids. Next time you see some inmature children while your playing your game, walk up to them and teach them something. Quote some historical dates or some fancy algebra equations, try to engage them political debates.
Together we can make this a better world.
