Update on Asheron's Call free trial...

    Hey look, if i used xfire all the time... it would say over 1000 hours for ac... just because i used it for gw with the clan i was in doesnt mean i even play anymore... i havnt touched that game in over a year

    I don't touch any games that require credit cards for trials anymore. It's unnecessary these days just for trials and there are too many ways to get burned.

    AC is one of the very few games that I would agree -needs- to require CC info for the trial.  The last trial they offered, they didn't require CC information.  It ended up unbalancing things because people abused the system and made dozens of accounts, creating huge rank chains in the game for their guilds.  There are -still- chains left over from years ago.  All it took was swearing allegiance to one of your alts on your main account, and boom.. instant rank 10 guild no matter where your character went.

    Then all they had to do was make it where you couldn't have allegiance until you paid. Sorry, they could do it if they wanted to. Doesn't matter, really. But I bet they cut out alot of people that may have subscribed just by requiring a cc. And when your game is as close to death as AC, they shouldn't be alienating anyone at this point.

    Sweet. Been waiting to try this out. Hopefully it's as good as i've heard.
