1st everquest is lame mmorpg but also if they keep it the same way they did on the first the second will suck also the game just looks good but the game play on the first was ex and do quests [ps2]

I bet the next question will be, "FFXI or WoW?" Think about this for a second. Nobody's played EQ2. It's not out yet.

I have been waiting for FFXI for so long to come out in the UK but it just hasn't arrived, but i just got a new job so I can afford the subscription, and my mum has told my step dad to get it for me cos he is on a business trip in NY and she still owes me xmas and birthday presants haha.

So I am just gonna play it on the american servers till it comes out in the UK.. and hopefully character transfer doesn't cost too much and keeps items.

If not, i would rather play on a UK server this time. I played EQ for 2 years and ran a guild.. and man i was up till all hours.. not that i woulda been sleeping.. its just when you stay up 3 days at a time just to play a game you know something ain't right.

It got boring after a while. In the end all you do is just level and level... yet I am gonna give FFXI a go... cos I am a hardcore final fantasy man, even if FFX-2 looks and sounds pretty lame... i mean... 3 girls with diferant dresses to change there powers and cheesy j-pop in the background not to mention bad translations.. And no summons or limit breaks... i mean whats Final Fantasy without summons and limit breaks.

As for WoW... if they do beta testing in the uk i will sign up for it.. and then maybe i will switch... but my main aim is to play Final Fantasy 11

Although FFXI is a fun game, i would emmidiatley drop the game for EQ2 and WoW just because FFXI has a few problems that neither EQ2 nor WoW will have.

I hate to say it but I'd rather play WoW than FFXI. Not that FFXI isn't really kool. It's just that its warcraft!

I think pretty much all the major mmorpgs due out this year will be better than almost all the current mmo's out there, primarily due to graphics, but also just because most gamers are itching for new games.

Also, the 1st EQ was awesome, mainly due to fully customizable characters, you could dye armor and there wasnt 1 single person the same as me or even close to the same. Thats something FFXI doesnt have at all and it gets old real fast.

If its true that when you drop a cat it lands on its feet or if you drop toast it lands butter-side down... what happens if you strap toast to a cats back and drop it?

All the servers are random and there is no US server, all have people from all over the US, Canada, and Japan. That is one of the many cool things about FFXI is that at any time you can go on and there will be people playing even if they do speak a different language they are still playing.

when WoW comes out I m ay change sides...

I will never change sides for EQ2....dont care how nice it looks...I just have a problem with companies dishing out $hitty service

u know the only reason i quite EQ (and i am thankful of this now but i wasn't then)

One day i tryed to log in. Said that my account didn't exist.

It didn't exist on Sony either.
I email and emailed and they just didn't do anything to help. That is sorta how they were with anything. so SOE and Verant are not going to be who i go and play games with. Thats why i didn't get interested in star wars galaxies either.

Was that a thought I just had, or and echo of a thought I was thinking of having?

EQ2 or FFXI ? If given those choices, I'd rather dig my heart out with a spoon. Sorry, FFXI was not my cup of tea. Also, EQ2 looks to be a combination of SWG and EQ in an EQ universe; no thank you. I can only deal with crappy customer service for so long.

I would rather play with the buttons on my monitor than FFXI. So EQ2 has to be a step up.

All I gotta say is that im sticking with FFXI until Vanguard comes out. (tho my freinds will prolly con me into gettin WoW.)

As for EQ2 I was following it for a long time in hopes that it would fullfill my lust of online adventure, but as time goes on the game starts to look empty and uninspired. So I would stick with FFXI long after EQ2's release.

Does anybody else think it's stupid to compare a game to one that hasn't even come out yet? Come on, people. It's bad enough that these forums have to act as a fanboy-satiating site where people can wax poetic about how their particular favorite game is TEH BEST EVAR... do we really need to start talking about how great/horrible a game is when none of us have even SEEN it played, much less played it ourselves?
