I'm getting june from all the people in Beta, and believe you me, the game is nowhere near release, may even be pushed back another month or 2 from June (crosses fingers). It is fun as hell though, and some of the things that these people though of are really cool, wish, I, could, say more.... must, not.... NDA....

Well, i'm a HUGE FF fan , which is why I like FF 11 so much... and I also found out there wasn't any GIR fans here either... Oh well..
I finally got an email yesterday stating the company would contact me and it would be downloaded... So I'll most likely be up tomorrow or sunday evenings... But I do hope the file isn't a gig big... it would sooo suck to download it even with my wireless connection...
But that doesn't mean i'm still psyched about playing the game... I'm willing to try out anything new but as long as it doesn't hurt anyone...
Ok...I just got my official email from Saga of Ryzom stating that I could go claim my winning Beta account. I went to the site and it asked that I enter the name I used to register with the beta...I assumed it was my username here since I won it here (I hope that was right). Anyway, after I entered my username it said I would hear back in a couple more days.
Actually I just found out that I needed to sign up for the beta on the Ryzom web site first and then go back to the link in the email I got and enter in that user name to get the beta account I won here. Luckily I was able to register with the same user name there. ;-)
You need to register for a user name on the Ryzom site. When you click on the link in the email they sent you it will take you to a page to enter a user name. First click the link on that page to create a beta user name, then come back and fill in that name.
I got the same thing as you and I didn't apply or register for the site... I just hope I have to apply for the site... I guess I'll know for sure in about 2-3 days...
I'm not going to say who or what GIR is because i'll get shot down... I'm not stupid enough to get shot down three times...
I didn't register for the beta first but it didn't give me the user not found message... I just used my MMORPG account name... but i signed up through the site anyway and then updated just to make sure!
Here is what you have to do to get in the beta if you won a spot on this sites contest....
You should have gotten an email from Themis Group telling you to go to their site and register (with a username that has not been taken) for the beta. That is if you have not already created a beta account there previously. Which I did not so I went to the sign up page for the beta and plugged in all the info that was needed. After my registered beta username was accepted I received another email but directly pertaining to my beta signup information that I just set up. This will so far only give you access to modify your beta account info as it states in the email you get when successfully registering at ryzom's site.
Now after you have your ryzom.com beta username you need to click on the winner's link in the original email that Themis sent. You should see the long URL that contains the word winner in it somewhere so click on it and it will take you to a different ryzom beta page. All you need to do now is input your beta username you just created at ryzom.com and presto you should be finished. Unfortunately we will all be waiting a tad longer which is okay. Good things come to those who wait!
