I think part of the problem here stems from the success of WoW. The real truth of the matter is the George Lucas (and therefore all the companies he owns) really only cares about the money. I mean, look at all the Star Wars crap that is marketed every year. Unfortunately, SOE is not much better about that than Lucas/LucasArts. I suspect that the success of WoW led LA to push SOE to turn SWG into a WoW clone. That's what the NGE did. That's where the focus on PVP comes from too. I'd wager that most of the dev team refused and were replaced with whatever incompetent half-wits were willing to go along with the plan.
Last month (they gave me a free month in an attempt to get me back), the devs posted a poll on the forums asking what gameplay style everyone preferred. I'm certain they crapped themselves when they saw the results. It was roughly 70% for PvE, 20% for PvP, and 10% for Social/Crafting. They've put so much emphasis on the GCW/PvP and it's still less popular than grinding away on Pikets or something.
Honestly, Pre-CU was a solid game, but I'll even take Pre-NGE at this point. If I wanted to play WoW or CoX, then I would still be playing them. At this point, I think it's true that LA/SOE (can't forget LA, they're as much to blame here as SOE is) are just out for money, and you absolutely cannot believe anything they promise.

Hybrid plants can be breed and petrified to produce house decorations. Plants can be harvested and made into buffs or sold to Chefs to make special foods.
And let's backtrack a bit more here to the title of the post. It is an in-concept thread, meaning that "implementation is neither guaranted nor implied", as stated in the first paragraph.
What this REALLY means is that it has a snowball's chance in hell of making it into the game. I don't know why they are making all these suggestion threads over on the $uckboards, since when did they start caring about what the players want?
Since they realized that that is what the players want. And they are making suggestions because it is nearing the end of the year and they are needing idea's for next year's plan; they want to make sure that anything that they start working on is ok with the players. This idea was probably sparked by the realization that their playerbase was decreasing and they did not like that, so they decided to try to get on the right path in terms of player appreciation.

Please refer to the SWG game boards and look at gameplay discussion. Report back with me how many posts are titled "Bring back pre-cu!" or have anything to do with the topic. You will quickly realize that that number is slim to none in the last months of the games existence. Want to know why? Because the players have GOTTEN OVER IT. Much to my surprise, the people of this forum have not. I have always viewed fellow veterans of the game as mature gamers, but I must have made a vital mistake in my interpretation. It would seem that these boards are full of people who cannot move on past the fact that pre-cu is not coming back.

The reason that you don't see it over there, is because Most of the vets have quit the game, Most of the year long subscription plans have expired, so we can't post over there, + SOE Deletes and Bans anyone Who post Pre-cu over there. Get The facts, The game SUX, The Game is empty, and It shows no potential to get any better. With new games Comming out, SOE Knows that Soon The number of players Won't be enough to pay They salaries, Even most of the fanbois acknowledge This. This game is dying, and there is only 1 solution.

Well I do not know about your old servers, but I know that the Ahazi server has been one that was hit rather hard with the NGE and the cancelling of accounts. But it seems that every week there are people returning to the server. Some of the most well-known veterans are returning, testing out the game, and finding out that it isn't so bad to be playing with some of their friends again. And it is not me that must get the facts, but rather you. Classic servers have already been mentioned by the developers on a number of accounts. They have all stated that it is not going to happen. Pre-Cu is never coming back, and most of the players know that. So they adapt, unlike you who downright refuses to adapt to the way it is. That will not get you far in life. People have to adapt to the situation at hand, and while the game may still be bad, after awhile some will notice that it isn't as bad as one would seem. Not to mention, the community. And I know some servers do not have a lot of the original community left, but mine does, and that seems to soften the blow.

You have no idea what your talking about, community what community just about 3/4 of the accounts have been canceled or are idle, just hoping for a miracle.
