in Final Fantasy XI

Just wondering if there are ALOT of items such as armor, weapons ( and not all the same model ) ect.?

Also, are there alot of quests to do for XP instead of grinding and such.

    Yes.

     There are a lot more Weapon Designs, than Armor. Some get reused. Mostly only the lower level stuff.

    There are like 4 different quests that give an exp scroll, and you can do them once a week, 3 of those require a party/alliance, so.... Pretty much no.

    Guess I could add a bit more.

    I'm not positive as some new stuff just got added, But there are about 180 Diffrent Sets of armor (Visual stuff, Like Head, Body, Hands, legs, Feet  ), Like there would be 180 Diffrent Head pieces, 180 Body, etc.

    Shields I'm not too sure, Might be... 15-20 diffrent Shields

    And theres a huge variety of every diffrent type of weapon.

    As soon as i read that there were only like 3-4 quests, thats when i lost interest in FFXI. I have played before, and theres no way that i could go through the intire game without quests to do... image

    You said quest to do for exp, Not quests in general.

    FFXI has thousands of quest, Theres just only a handfull that give exp.

    oh, hmmmmm, ok so say if i do one of the quests that there is thousands of, will i get any exp. or will it only be an item?

    Some are items, some are gil. Some for maps.  Some you need to complete to have access to other quests. Every quest you do, along with w/e item/gil reward, You get fame. There are 9 Levels of fame, some quests require you to have a certain lvl of fame before you can do them.

    Just off the top of my head, the 5 Teleport Scroll's are quested, Aspir, Drain, Warp, Warp II, Utsusemi: Ichi, Hojo: Ichi, Jubaku: Ichi, Kurayami: Ichi, Tonko: Ichi,  Sleepga II, Mage's Ballad.

    3 out of the 5 AF pieces for every job are quested.

    There are quests to access diffrent Area's, (Most common Kazham Airship Pass)

    Aside from Quests there are Missions you recive from what ever nation you're from.


    World of Warcraft is what you get when you press the Easy button on FFXI. You don't get exp from entering new area's, You dont' get exp from a dime a dozen quests, You dont' get exp from Killing Lvl 1 mobs at max level.
