PC forever!
Because: While consoles are fun, PC's offer a widder variety of gameplay and technical capability's and of course the option to upgrade by component instead of an entire unit and on your own timeline.
A PC can also be used in multiple ways, everything from email to browsing to office work and school work. Easy choice for me.

SNES at a close second because of all the amazing, high quality singleplayers.
PS2 (at some time in the future replaced by PS3) due to the access to several really solid franchises like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Tales Of ... , Breath of Fire, and more both on the current platform and the backwards compability.
I own a gameboy, N64 and a gamecube too, but it's really only Nintendo's own few inhouse and secondparty games I'm interested in and they've not been frequent enough to make either of their recent consoles a huge favourite of mine ;D
I hope Gears of War comes to pc though, i cant be bothered setting my xbox 360 backup - i only just packed it up!
Hope to build full AMD system RYZEN/VEGA/AM4!!!

PC by far just for sheer versatility. Do own PS/PS2, play it once in a while for Final Fantasy series, Star Wars Battlefront 1 or 2, Drakengaard, Dynasty Warriors, etc.
I do still bring out the Sega Genesis on occasion though for one reason: Shining Force. One of my fav games ever.
I would have to agree though because as one poster said, the PC has
more verastility and is always one step ahead of the consoles.
Consoles have been trying to play catch-up for years and are getting
somewhat closer, but at the price of PS3 being $600 to get your foot in
the door, you minds well just get a PC Tower and all the other utlity a
computer brings to the table.
If I had to side with a console platform though, Nintendo always wins
my heart. Maybes its my fond childhood memories, but
Nintendo always has some of the best miltiplayer party
games. Also Nintendo has certain franchises you cant get
anywhere else, unlike the other systems who often times find their
titles on the PC anyways. Franchises like Mario, Metroid,
and Zelda, are tried and true folumas that keep players always coming
back for more. Especially in the newest round of console wars,
Nintendo is once again trying to Innovate the way we play video games,
and pricing is amazing. $600 for a system with a control,
or $250 foir a system, with a controller, and a game, and a new
innovative technology. It's a no brainer to me.
