Contests need to be rethought! Why do I say this? Because, it seems like 90% of the winners of the various contests are always American. I've only won a contest once, unfortunately I got disqualified because I wasn't able to access my mail so I never got the notification until the following week as the contest ended on a weekend.
It just doesn't seem to be working, I entire all the contests and nothing, there are currently only a few of the winners of the contests seem to be Canadian, European, etc...but as I said before the majority are American.

3 views -- 1 of which is my own -- and no replies...I know there are a lot of you that agree with my assessment of the situation, you probably do not want to answer because it'll stop your chances of winning a contest; seriously it doesn't matter the contests will still be skewed!

What exactly is your assessment of the situation? What are you suggesting should happen? Isn't it possible that there are more registered American users, accounting for the numbers?
I as an american have never won any of the contests.
I think the contests need to be reworked so that only people that log in and have posted at least one intelligent post on any forum somewhere here are eligible.
On the subject of statistics as of current the highest chance for someone to win most of these contests is who can make the most dummy accounts and rotate login them every day.
I as one person with one account have little to no chance of ever winning a contest no matter what the prize is.
Well let's look at some actual data on this one:
http://www.mmorpg.com/echoes_promo.cfm 7/18 were non-US (39%)
http://www.mmorpg.com/ryzomring_promo.cfm 33/62 were non-US (53%)
http://www.mmorpg.com/reaper_promo.cfm 2/7 were non-US (28%)
http://www.mmorpg.com/gve_promo.cfm 8/14 were non-US (57%)
I could go on and on but I won't cause I don't have the time. Our contests are fair in our opinion. It is the entrants responsibility to check out our site on the day of the drawing (or within 24 hours) to see if they won - the message will be in your mailbox on our site and you can also view the winners on the promo page.
As stated by other users - 65% of our users are American - so of course you will see a slight majority in American contest winners.
