Ive gone through thr first Gw most of the way but finally stopped when i couldnt do anything anymore with the henchman, i hate waiting around just to get in another lame PUG! the mission where so hard that i finally stoped. Can anyone tell me if Nightfall is more soko friendly than the last 2? The hero system sounds interesting to me.

It all depends on what you call solo friendly. Though I didnt
find the first two all that difficult however one reason might be that I have
joined a decent sized guild with helpful members. Back to the question at hand
the beginning quests are easy run though with the henchman or the newly added heroes
which act like customizable henchmen. Though
these types of games are not solo rpgs but MMORPGs which means yes you will
need to either join a guild that has members willing to help or wait around to
get in a pickup group. Either way its
not hard to find a willing group to run though missions.

Heroes are like Henchies on Steroids
- give them any skill you want (that you have unlocked on your account)
Henchies (and heroes) now use flags, so its much easier to make them stay at specific spots when you want to - or direct them to spots
Highly recommend Nightfall - its the best of the 3 chapters
and you can bring your NF heroes to any prior chapter too

Grendel Kinguard of GW.
All heroes you get are per character.
Also heroes can use runes, insignias & weapons you find.
I prefer to solo sometimes, especially if you don't play at peak times.
Plus its easier to co ordinate with heroes, you know they wont run off, and if you need to retreat from a battle it's just 2 clicks, some won't stand there and die, and tell you that you suck afterwards.
The 2nd profession thing is great for combos ( Mo/E for glyph of lesser energy + 2 heal partys for only 5 energy ) but you must make them use this combo yourself, they don't auto do it.

What I love about most online games is meeting and socialising with other players, but sometimes one experiences difficulty looking for charmers on Guild Wars. When my friends are offline, I often go solo, and actually find it quite entertaining and easy to do.
In fact, achieving the 'Survivor' titles was much easier for my soloing character than for the others who relied on various groups! Heroes and henchmen can be ordered about in a simple manner, and often when I encountered a difficult set of enemies, I ordered my Heroes in and those poor sods would soak up most of the damage while I ran about unscathed.
So, I would say that Nightfall is very 'solo-friendly', especially when compared to previous installments.
