Camping outside Best Buy for a ps3, how pathetic. I wish I had brought my camera to capture the moment. I wonder what would have happened if I had said something like PS3 SUX, or Screw Sony! Probably nothing since those nerds were probably as strong as gaggle of meatlumps strung out on hawtpockets. Oh and I didn't see ANY SWG boxes at that store to hide.

Call me a nerd if you want to, but I camped out at a wal-mart for 14 hours to get one. It sold on Ebay for $1750.00us, can you make that kind of money in 14 hours? I didn't think so..

There are a *lot* of people that can make a grand with 14 hours of their time ... coincidentally, most of them also do it by preying on stupid people with too much disposable income ....
You made 82 dollars an hour. Most technical consulting companies and design charge about that for work. I assume you also had to miss a day of work or either way it cost you 14 hours of your time which you normally get how much an hour? Just some food for thought.
You did something, you stood in line and bought and sold a product. Doing nothing implies literally doing nothing or sleeping. My 401k is me doing nothing, although sometimes I do move funds around. I dont see the money, it is automatically deducted, the money goes where I pre-designated. Yes I can earn 1150.00 dollars in one day doing nothing and I can do it regularly can you?
I would suggest you learn a better way to make money then a 1 time flash in the pan.

I am not sure how people camping out to get a PS3 are nerdy. That to me would tell me how highly successful a product is. And plus, whats more nerdy, a person who camps out to get first dibs on a very successful gaming consol, or someone who sits on a computer for hours on end role playing a fantasy life, LMAO, its kind of calling the kettle black (I think that is how that old saying goes LOL). Oh and I'm only 5'9 and 165 but I'm a division 1 swimmer. Due to the fact that I train for about 18 hours a week (plus meets on weekends) I'm going to say I'm in better shape then at least 85% of this forum.... but I'm still a huge nerd when it comes to video games. What I'm getting at is that your size/weight means very little to anybody, especially when you use all that size/weight to post on SWG Vet forums...

Get over yourself already; you obviously have a pretty low self esteem if you feel this incessant need to hype yourself up to what you arent, otherwise no offense would have been taken in the beginning. Tell ya what, take a drive out to hilltop area in Tacoma and tell all those guys how tuff ya are. Of course we all have nerdy tendencies; heck nerdy tendencies get you laid by some of the best looking women around. But hardcore nerds, yea sure why not and what is different from a hardcore nerd compared to a hardcore MMO player. Calling people nerdy because they camp out to get first dibs to buy a computer consol is sort of hypocritical when players who played SWG still act as if their whole Role Playing lives have been shattered because of a change to their video game a year later. And $82 an hour is a nice salary. Really nice. Depending on various other aspects, that's about $150k a year.
To translate that. You're getting paid a very senior engineer's salary for sitting in a chair and sleeping. I thought only air traffic controllers work like that...

Everyone likes something a lot. I personally love video games and if I had the money, the time off and a buddy who wanted one who had those things too, I might have camped out to get a PS3. I agree with MMO_Man, I read the whole thread and I could tell he was joking around. I also find it funny that a guy who posts on swg forums day and night *tillamook cough* would call other people nerds. Yes I'm also a member at rlmmo (under another name) and it's the most nerd filled forum I've ever seen. Post after post of "I have some top secret info but I can't reveil it here..pm me" type of crap. I just go there to get a good laugh. Oh and one of guys over the had some "top secret" info the other day that something major was going to happen in 10 dayus!! Woooo!!! I can't wait!!! LMFAO!
