Use this site to compare cards;  http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php

You need to find out if your graphics slot is agp or pci-e. I would suggest a 7600 Gt if you are looking at the sub 200 range for a card.
    AGP model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150200

    PCI-E model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150186

Because close to every graphic card can run WoW. everything above 50$ should be able to run it.

I'm not sure how to check for it on XP, but the paperwork that came with your computer should specify. You could also look on the motherboard and next to the video card slots it should say AGP4x/8x or PCI-Express some where.

WoW is easy.  You could probably get it to run on your IPod.

There is a nice graphics card for $99 at Best Buy on Friday morning if you want to wake up at 5 am :).
    Bestbuy.com link

This card is available as a AGP or PCIexpress interface.

It's $200 now, but from 5am-12 it will be $99.99 according to the Black Friday websites sale ad scans.

Something else you should consider is how much RAM you have.  The difference between only 1 Gig of RAM versus 2 Gigs is like night at day.  I know somebody who plays with only 512 but after seeing his computer in sluggish, frame per minute instead of frames per second action I wouldn't recommend it.

Well considering you can "shudders" use an onboard GFX card for WoW, any card will do~

    This
is so true.  When I went from 1 gig to 2, I bounced around for
weeks playing everything I could,  just to see what a difference
it made.  It was very exciting!  :)  And that 99$ deal
for a graphics card someone suggested sounds like a really good
    deal.
