Hey I been watching vids of CS and they look way better then gunz, Does CS have a free trial or anything I could get? I really want to try the game out before I go buy it, I heard it's filled with hackers so I probably won't enjoy it. If anyone knows another FPS (Other then CS, and Gunz [If you consider that a FPS, more like a 3PS) with a trial or thats free please let me know.

Indeed CS is full of hackers, and most FPS are..but AA uses punkbuster (like BF), and its keeping most hackers out.

Counter Strike is free to play, but it is a mod for Half-Life.
Counter Strike Source is free to play and is a mod for Half-Life2
Half-Life2 is a great game and by now should be pretty cheap to buy. It ships/comes with Counter-Strike Source and a download system called Steam (love it or hate it). There are lots of free downloads for games and mods made by players and developers alike through Steam. So if i were you I would find a cheap copy of Half-Life2 and that will be the only money you need to spend.
Ive played countless games that claim to be better than CSS but they are still far behind the gameplay. Warrock is full of moaning kids for example. Americas Army is great but not quite as good as CS. The Battlefield series are great but these are more open maps with vehicles and planes. CSS is small maps and very fast gameplay. You die, you stay dead for that round, no respawning until the match is won. (nice idea)
I could list countless others but theres no need, CSS is where its at for FPS. Just be prepared to die alot until the game sorta clicks with you and you can understand the timing and second guess where players are.
Its one of those games that will get you tense, hold your breath, mad, happy, on the edge of your seat when theres just you, the bomb and a few enemy team hunting you. Will you disarm it or die trying?

I am playing Battlefield 2142
It is similar to counterstrike, but bigger , and with wehicles both flying, tanks and mech.
In a way it resembles MMO because you gain levels (unlocks).
The game is fun, and that is the way i spend my time while waiting on some decent MMOs to come out ...

I'd have to agree that BF2142 is very 'planetsidey', now with many of the bugs actally fixed, I'd recommend that, I quit playing for a bit just after the realese due to too many damn exploiters, thanks to the dumb ass ppl who showed everyone the 'how to' via goolge vid and youtube. Thankfully thats now corrected..
Bascially the way BF2142 works is every task (heal, repare stuff , capturing point ponits for example) and every order you follow from either the commander or squad leader you earn points towards your next rank (basically it's exp and an exp bar) every 'rank up' you gain the option to unlock an item from the skill trees from one of the classes (or alturntivly you 'personal' tree thats univeral), the nice thing about this is that your not limited o the one class once you start unlocking it you can stop half way and start with a diffrent tree or class..
In a sence if it hard a solid world it could turn MMO, but having a 'level' system is just as good..
Bring on the WARRRRGGHH!
CSS > BF > planetside. In that order. Also note BF2142 comes with spyware/malware/adware or whatever they like to call it. Bad stuff but decent game.

end machines, but not on mine. I have AMD 3000+, nvidia 7950GX2, 2 gig
RAM... PS doesnt lag on max settings... EVER.
BF is OK, but to me its just another CS clone with vehicles. You cant
compare a regular FPS and a MMOFPS... they are just too different.
