What I would like to know...

in World of Warcraft

What i would like to know, is that if this is a forum for WoW gamers, why are there so many WoW haters posting here with stupid posts like "WoW sucks" and "WoW is for carebears". I mean if you dont enjoy the game, dont like it or even hate the game, why waste your time posting stupid crap on these forums? There is far too much complaining about the game. (I can understand the complaining from users who actually enjoy the game eg. Linux Users getting banned)

I have played hundreds of games and enjoyed some and disliked many. But as far as the games i dislike, my experience with them stops as soon as i have found out that i dislike them. I dont see the point in ragging the game any further. An old saying might put some sense to this "Different strokes fo different folks". I have had friends swearing by some games saying they were the best games ever Eg. Black and White, which i never enjoyed and will never play again. Doesnt mean they are crap games just means i dont enjoy that specific game or type of game or gameplay.

So what i would like to know, are all you WoW haters just bored and have nothing better to do than rag this game (which i personally enjoy) or are you all just a bunch of children who are immature and once again have nothing better to do?

    Yes i agree with NatoB. If you hate the game, great, we dont CARE. Keep your opinions to yourself.

    it should be evident why that happens.

    It actually happens in all forums, in less numbers. There are always people that, for envy, because they feel threatened, for feeling "different, because it makes them part of an "elite" (guys NOT playing wow), or for pure spite, will come and bash the game just because.

    80% of them never ever even played the game and go only with hear say or just prejudices, the rest is the 20% that played the game and was expecting something else OR got burned out by end game and decide that was unfair.

    It actually makes me laugh when i see a post like "I played wow for 6 months, i have 5 level 60 guys but now i tell you it sucks big time".

    Woah! it sucks so much that you had to push yourself to play it for 6 MONTHS and level up 5 guys to 60??? image

    Usually when i do not like a game, i am out of it in couple days, a week tops. And sure as hell do not reach top level not even once :D

    Yeah I think its true coming to a section and proclaiming your hate of the game is a bit silly. But at the same time, the 'WoW is for carebears' post was written by someone whow as quitting and I don't think he says anything out of turn, WoW is a pretty softcore game. That isn't to criticize WoW but that is a fact.

    There's a difference between hating a game and criticising it. These forums are for discussion, if there's only one opinion of the game then there is no discussion. Not everyone who plays WoW thinks it's the best game in the world with no issues, believe it or not there may be things that can be discussed on this forum that are both negative and constructive to those who play WoW at the same time.

    Fair enough if you're talking about people who flame on these forums just for the sake of annoying everyone who plays WoW, but don't make the mistake of thinking everyone with something negative to say about WoW is just here to flame and troll.

    I doubt anyone truly hates or even dislikes WoW in general. My anger is only aimed at Blizzard because they've done very little to improve the game itself. It's like this:

    It's a discussion forum about WOW - it's not just for people with a current subscription (head to the official forums if thats what you are after). Also, being a discussion forum, people are free to discuss BOTH the negatives and positives of the game if they so wish - even if you disagree with them.

    Now, get over it.

    edit In conjunction with official reviews i like to check the MMORPG forums to get an overall feel of players perceptions - both good and bad. If it was forum where only the positives of the game were discussed and a rosey picture was painted about every single game out there it would be too helpful now would it.

    me fav. statement from this thread, "keep your opinion to yourself".  lol, thats good.  so people are suppose to keep their opinions to themselves if they dont like a game, but its ok for you to share your opinion.

    well one thing ive noticed is the people who bash Wow , all say the same things .Myself i think this is a place that you come to read peoples opinion's abouts games so you can decide to buy it or not

    And after playing Wow for about a year and a half i can tell you the bashers are telling the truth and the people who like it, all just say its the best mmo out there never a reason or any input as to why the game is so great. Wish i would have came here to find out about Wow instead of reading all the ass kissing comments in all the gaming mags .

    Personally i think WoW is the most shallow, self centered ,self serving piece of junk mmo on the market today  but thats just my opinion

    This is what i think of people who play Wow . People who use drugs dont necesarily like the drugs there doing , they do them because there addicted.

    Maybe you didn't notice but me and many others, have explained what we like of WoW many many times, not only with one liners but with logical sentences and long written posts.

    Certain critics also uses good written posts to criticize the game and i am sure there ARE people that just say "lol, wow roxxor" as there are people that says "lol, u nuub, go back to wow".

    This post totally ignore a good chunck of the players posts and define them (all) as "drug addicted" can you be more insulting, please?

    I dont think i put across what i wanted to say, i agree with you on the point of a forum discussing both sides, i have no problem with that, even I have some things negative to say about WoW (for eg. the poor system when it comes to letting people gank low levels)

    The people im talking about are people who say "WOW SUCKS RATHER PLAY [insertgamenamehere]" or "WoW is for pussy's and Carebears" like we care if you think its for softcore gamers or not, we enjoy the game. It is a game after all.

    All of the above is not negative critisicm, really its a bunch of hogwash.

    Forum's for a game are meant to be there for discussion of game play tactics, help for the game, the NEGATIVES and positives of the game and suggestions and ideas to make the game better. Definitely not a place to come bash the game just because you think its the worst possible game ever concieved. Im sure you all dont like certian games, now ask yourself this have you gone to one of these game forums and decided to to post a topic "[insertgamenamehere] SUCKS"Why, because its pointless.

    There are over 6million + players playing WoW. Why? Because we hate it? No. Obviously we enjoy the game. Now im not saying that you must play WoW, im just saying that it is stupid and rather irratating when you come to a forum and you start reading either a Negative or Positive point to the game and you have to Sift through endless amounts of crap like "WoW Sucks" in order to read the forum.

    To make my point even more clear, personally i hate tomatoes. Should i go  to every cooking discussion out there, and whenever anything about the cooking comes up and it has to do with tomatoes, should i post or scream out "TOMATOES FUCKING SUCK!" ?

    Not a wow hater, but betting the wow haters are just here to pimp their favorite games just like wow lovers go to other forums and pimp wow a lot. To each their own though.

    I'm not sure how the CoX fanboys feel perhaps they consider me a major hater cause I always compare it to WoW. but at least I dont go starting threads that 'CoX sucks' or anything else. I merely post my opinions on how I feel bout the game if someone says something I dont agree with. Guess this makes me a troll in a way. however I cant voice my dislikes on the official CoX site atm cause I canceled my account so mmorpg is the only place I can really give my true opinions on MMORPGs

    Most opinions are biased - either the person has not played the game or he has.
    If someone wants to validify the opinion they state, they must provide statements that back it up; this world if full of idiots - but at least we can filter them image

    I think the answer to this is both, they are immature children with nothing better to do.  I don't understand  why everyone has to be competitive about which game is best.  If you like a game, play it!

    All I can tell you is deffinitly don't listen to those that bash the game every chance they get.

    Bashing WoW seems like the same thing as bashing Bush, they both seem to be the "cool" thing to do at the moment.


    Anyways, I'm fine with those that have their actual opinions about the game. However, deffinitly don't listen to those that complain about the community all the time and how the game is "full of kids". I've been playing for a bit now (both alliance side and horde, and yes, barrens chat) and its not bad. Barrens chat is obviously a bit on the lower side -- but usualy it is a fun way to past the time when your leveling as well.
