Blizzard Banning Accounts

Ok, I have heard some really harsh cases of blizzard banning accounts. Ive also heard an account was banned just because someone logged into it from a different computer? My brother plays my account sometimes.... am I at risk?

Propably only if he uses unsanctioned 3rd party software like WoWclider.

Two or more People sharing an account is usually forbidden by the EULA. Game owners want two people paying for their own account, not two people paying for one account, regardless of family relationship

However, the above situation sounds like they should have waited/gathered more info/asked to be sure it wasn't just logging in somewhere else.

But then again, thats typical Blizzard, rushed responses in every category.

There are only 3 reasons why a person would switch IPs.  Lan Party, Sharing account, or they got hacked.  In these cases, banning the victim or the player would simply be moronic as a support personel. Its an easy way to lose customers and PR.

    Edit-added the 3rd.

Just keep it quiet and should be ok, I'd imagine the situation of sharing accounts at times is more frequently than thought just got to stay hush about it.

Or, the guy logged out to let his buddy across the street log in and play...

In that case, since its forbidden by the EULA, they have every right to ban.

However, because of the other possibilities mentioned, banning like that is moronic, but I've never personally accused their customer service of being particularly good.
