Thinking of re-entering The Matrix...

Yea i was MxO beta and played for a couple months, had to leave the game cuz it was hard to pay for it and SWG at the same time but i kinda wanna come back, can i get help with a few questions...

1) I heard combat was revamped, how so, whats different from what it used to be?

2) How is the population on the servers? Are they good size to where you actually see people around, or are they ghost towns? (i used to like pvp in MxO so i would like to probably join pvp server)

3) Is the grind still crazy or is getting xp any easier?

4) ANd last, what are just some major things added to game since the beginning, such as new real cool items or content?

    oh and

    5) If you grind hard, how fast is it possible to get to lvl 50?

    1) There are people with far better technical combat knowledge, so I'll keep it basic, and to what I know.

Interlock rounds are no longer static entities, but may consist of two halves. Unlike before, where only one could win a round, now, both can hit in the same round, and both can miss.
Tactic interface no longer appears beneath the hotbar, but is now in the hotbar.

Multi Interlock has been removed; as a compensation, ranged Melee has been added - meaning, you can hit one with Melee damage (and an according animation) without entering Interlock, just as in Free Fire.

Melee can't disarm an armed opponent anymore, like it did always before.

Several animation groups have been removed (like wall kicks or disarm moves), some others added (e.g. hit-hit animations).

The hit rate (especially in large level differences) has been significantly increased.

The former "attributes" (Belief, Focus, etc.) have been renamed to "stats", which you can change now using a special mission item. The current attributes (like "Viral Accuracy") are different and more logical than before.

    Some abilities have been replaced.

Maybe I'll add some more if something comes in my mind.

    2) Dunno. In my experience, rather ghost town. But the events (which, in my time zone, occur at night) are always filled with crowds.

    3) I think nothing has changed. There has been an additional way of XP gaining added to higher levels, though (40-50).

    4)
-Pandora's Box: A large quest/mission system, consisting of four arcs, playable from level 30 on.
-Zero One quest: Added drops to the 40-50 construct that you can trade at a city collector.
-Lots of story missions have been released since then. They have been archived for everyone to experience.
      Referred to as "archive missions"
-Added white hallways organizational constructs. You need lots of info and organization reputation to access them, though.

    Hope that helps.

Heard of people who accomplished it in a few weeks -- but that would be really hard, I guess. I'm for more than a year here, and still level 48 :)

If you have any more specific questions to the above post, feel free to ask!

both correct, I've been around level 45 for ages. But I had enough of it, level to 50 in a week and quit the game because I had achieved my goal and I didn't have fun anymore :P

combat has been reduced to luck, and anyone who says differently doesnt know what they are talking about. The only time luck doesnt apply is if you have a far superior loadout to them.

the grind is not bad if you dont mind running the missions, just be prepared to run thousands of the same thing. id say its roughly 800 3 step full length missions to get to 50. with a little construct camping and data nodes of course.

The fact that you included Data Mining in your perception of reaching 50, means that you don't, in fact, know that game as well as you try to let off. Reaching the next level in MxO, requires roughly the same amount of missions, and the level you're trying to reach. In trying to reach level 18, you'll run about 18 missions, plus any crits during that week -- Without Data Mining or construct camping. image

There's a lot more to the game, other than combat and mission grinding... Open minded people will notice things easier than others, and tend to stick with the game longer, and enjoy it the whole time.

are you seriously going to say that someone who has 3 50's (one on each server) and another 43 on vector doesnt know the game? anyone who is interested in PvP and being able to RP at the same level as everyone else will not even PAY for data mining.

P.S. i have never EVER coded master shadow, data mining or any proxy, and im one of the few people from closed beta, hell i dont even have all the access nodes and i dont RP, and i dont plan on leaving any time soon.

and maybe it just feels like 800 missions to me, but im not going to lie i dont know the exact amount of missions.

but yeah go ahead and lets start a flame war if you want.

No need... I don't troll these forums enough to do so.
