A guild based on brotherhood and teamwork is being started by an MMO veteran. Please read.

Name: The name for this guild will be decided upon shorty after the game goes live or perhaps sooner, but will be a decision made by the earliest members of the guild.

Philosophy: Throughout my experience with MMORPGs, I've noticed that one thing is more important to a game than any other. Community. It's easy to try to feel special and unique, who doesn't invest time trying to think of how playing a certain class or designing a character a certain way will make that personal character the way the player wants it to be? But when you experience the thrill of being a part of a community and playing through an adventure with a group of people whom you respect and who respect you, that factor becomes the part of a game that keeps you coming back over and over again.

Title: At the moment, this is not a raiding guild. Nor is it a PvP guild. Until we have the chance to experience different aspects of the game as a fellowship, a specific purpose of the guild will not be announced. For now, we can call it "community-centric".

Me: I have played many different types of games and while my true passion lies with MMOs, I'm currently enjoying Medieval 2: Total War, Splinter Cell: Double Agent as well as Scraping Up Cash 6: I Want a Wii: The Search for Coins Beneath the Seat Cushions. As far as MMOs are concerned, I used to play Runescape back when it was 2D and there were more Sephiroth clones than blades of grass, I almost got through the 7-day WoW Free Trial, I played FFXI for 4 years (counting the beta), I got in about two months of pre-NGE SWG before I quit (gee, I wonder why) and came back about a month and a half ago (I've already quit again). I've also played a considerable amount of many other MMOs such as L2, DDO and AO. If you're still reading to find out whether I've played EQ or EQ2, I haven't. I would try EQ now but it seems like its fans aren't even playing it at the moment and I've heard that EQ2 was a big disappointment. Please don't quote me on my last two sentences, just the rumor mill working its wonders.

The Guts: The real situation is this: lots of guilds have nice fancy websites already decorated, they've decided what continent to play on, what they'll name their city and they've made pie charts of how much better they'll be than everyone else. The simple fact of the matter is that I don't know any more about this game than you do, and neither do they. But I do know that I want to build a close fellowship of friends so that whether we rise to greatness or fall into misery, our main objective will have been meaningful and worth our while.

Thank you for reading. Please contact me with questions or concerns at "TheMiracleDT@gmail.com". You can read our FAQ and sign up on our temporary guildportal site.

I have emailed him and from what i can tell he is very dedicated to starting up a great guild. My reason for wanting to join TheMiracleDT and his guild is, a lot of the bigger guilds that come from other games will treat the new guy like a number than an acutall person. Now i am no way saying that all bigger guilds are like this, but quite a few see the new guy expendalble and they figure "if he leaves we can get a new one easy". I saw TheMiricleDT was trying to have a fellowship, (a tight group of friends who are willing to help each other and the guild out) as part of the guilds foundation, rather then "we are PVP, no weaklings" or "Heavy raiding required". As a whole we can experience what the game has to offer and choose what we like doing the best, weather it being PvP, Raiding or something else. Withen the guild i feel that we can create the guild around the game keeping the guild unique, rather then  having generic rules and regulations which may cause members to miss out on content. EX: Guild raid at xxxxxxxx LV 20 area, when you are LV 15 so you gind the 5 lv's and miss out certain areas to explore, diff types of quests ect..

I personally will try and keep "family guild" and "Fellowship" more than just banners on a website (as i am sure Miricle and the other members will too), weather its during a raid, on the forums, or just talking to you at 4:30am in game.

Now this is just my view, i am sure many people live by one way or another. Withen this i did not mean to disrespect anyone just to restate myself this is just my view. By the way this is morden77.

Hey, I'd like to get in on this, I'm and MMO veteran myself and currently studying to become a MMO develloper myself. Send me a PM with an easier way to contact you.

Sounds like a guild I would be very interested in.

I just registered as Julian James.  I can provide my MMO background details if needed.  Looking forward to Vanguard and our solid guild and getting to know the guild members.

I'm back in town now so I'm accepting all the people who applied during my week of absence. The forums are getting more active, which is great, and I'll have our second newsletter out once I collect everyone's emails on the guildportal page.
