just got my new laptop that can hopefully run Eq2 in high settings (the hardware req was something that kept me away from this game when I left SWG over a year ago)

I have PM'd it to you here. While I didn't play at launch, I understand EQ2 is almost an entirely different game now. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have been. Now if I could just get back to my Froglok monk who is about to start his betrayal quest..... instead of work.

Thanks alot for the key. One question though...does this allow me to try EOF? I started a new account and entered it and have the game installed, etc., but I can't create a Fae character and can't start from the new starting city.
I could be totally wrong on the buddy key thing but.... I believe it just gives access to the core EQ2 game. No expansions, etc. That means no Desert of Flames, Kingdoms of the Sky, or Echoes of Faydwer. Therefore, no Fae.
Personally, I didn't like Kelethin the tree city. Mostly because it's a PITA to get from place to place. If you're a Fae, at least you don't die if you miss the edge. Don't get me wrong though - it's a beautiful zone and most people really like it from what I hear. It's just not for me personally. (plus I'm enjoying the shadowknight and necromancer while Kelethin is a good aligned town)
If you play through the 7 days and decide to buy, do yourself a favor and get the Echoes of Faydwer DVD at retail. The retail version includes the core game and all 3 expansions. The direct download online is EoF only for about the same price.
