I just got the game and i am looking for anyone who wants to show me the ropes, and i know there is a long ass tutorial, but im sure there are other things i can learn from actual players that know more than the tutorial covers. Also i wanna join a organization/guild/clan or whatever they call it in this game. Im a fast learner, i just need to know what im dealing with.

    Heya DRX....
My best advice is to play through the entire tutorial as well as the agent it refers you to.  Then do the faction mission for your faction (view the info on the diploma for your race that you get).  Once you've done all that start asking lots of questions here, eve forums or in game and people will be happy to help you out.

As for joining a corp?  I highly recommend EVE University to new players.  They're a solid corp and will teach you most of what you will ever need to know in the game.

cantact LadyGwen in game and tell her Novax sent you.. she can get you into an established corp with an alliance.. meanwhile there are people that will help you with your questions on corp chat.. or if you are accepted you can join the ventrillo server and save yourself typing :P

Actually, the tutorial is probably the best one out of any game I have seen.  Play through it, by the end, you understand the nuts and bolts of Eve, not to mention you get a shiny implant at the end.

Ok cool, ill be definitly getting in touch with you guys and i hope this is going to be a good experience, cause i have heard good things about this game, and how fun and different it is compared to the traditional MMO's. Looking forward to meeting all of your pilots.

If you're looking for a corp to help get you on your feet, send an EveMail to Mode Six, notice the space in there. I am part of a corp that is a great starter corp, and we have about 70 members or so, lots of active people to help with missions, questions, mining and anything else you need, we also sell ships to our members far below market cost, among other things.

    Cheers!

the tutorial is long, but it's really something everyone new needs to go thru.

yes, it has lots of words and lots of parts.   but it does answer most of the basic questions you'll have.

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
