Why it goes under DOS I dunno, must be faulty information
Anarchy Online is a Sci-fi MMO in third person with lots and lots of humor and big guns. A buckload of classes and soon enough mechs and stuff.. Check it out!
Played so far: 9Dragons, AO, AC, AC2, CoX, DAoC, DF, DnL, DR, DDO, Ent, EvE, EQ, EQ2, FoMK, FFO, Fury, GW, HG:L, HZ, L1, L2, M59, MU, NC1, NC2, PS, PT, R:O, RF:O, RYL, Ryzom, SL, SB, SW:G, TR, TCoS, MX:O, UO, VG, WAR, WoW... It all sucked.

Thats a good point! I should just put "run c:...anarchyonline.exe" into Emacs and save it as a bat file so I can store it in C:windows, it'll be much cooler to type in "AnarchyOnline" and start the game right up!
Whew thank goodness. I was getting tired of typing in the whole thing.
EDIT:
Ok, you know what? I can't stand the thought of someone looking in on this thread and thinking I was serious. Though using Emacs to make a Windows batch file seems kind of unlikely. Either you two really didn't get the references I was making or are totally out doing me on being deadpan. If it is the latter, bravo.
For anyone looking in later, no you don't have to quit to DOS to run AO. You, in fact, don't even have to open the windows shell command prompt and cd off to the AO directory. It's a Windows game. You make shortcuts and stuff.
