New to the game

Lo guys,

After having played DAOC, EQ2, WOW and COH I decided to give the Matrix Online a go.  I ordered the game through amazon yesterday and am waiting on it to arrive.  I was wondering though if there are still a lot of low level characters running around; hence if there are a lot of people to team up with.  I also hope that the guilds in this mmorpg aren't as bad as in wow where one has to be level 60 and fully geared before a lot of guilds even consider taking you in.  One of the reasons for joining a guild is to explore and have fun together.

I am also wondering what the best "spec" (dunno if the word is applicable for this game) is for a newcomer.

Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.

Cheers,

Well you will come across people that won't talk to you unless you're 50. You'll also find folk that'll invite you no matter what.

MxO is a great game, in my opinion, but I quit mainly because it felt to me that it had become stale. Not much new content to speak of. People had done everything pretty much, and were either hanging around a hardline or levelling alts. Good game system though, and great combat. If you like CoH/V then you'll like MxO.

Oh, and there's no 'best spec', even at low level. Sure, guns or martial arts will see you through, but you can mission just as easily with any other build. Plus, the beauty of MxO is that you can change your abilities at a hardline from one moment to the next.

All the lowbies mostly hangout around Uriah Northeast or Uriah Southwest

But the main hangout spot is Mara central(which I've never liked but oh well)

Don't tell me you've never been to Mara C ;)

I love Mara C.... to sneak up there, and use an AoE stun and kill them all ;)
