Its a game for the PC. You can download it.

    Official Website:

    http://www.wwiionline.com

When ingame tune ch. 10 (allied) or 99 (axis) to get further help and infos. Ask other players most are helpful.
Read the FAQs and Newbie guides.

When you do get the game, make sure you go to the website and find the "play now" links, this is how you log into the game.

Repeat: you cannot play online any other way besides going to the websites and hitting the links. (you can get Squadtracker and use that to start the game, as it has a function of doing so, but I don't remember where you can get it).

Incorrect, you can also create a command line using Playgate, but I forgot how, so now I feel stupid :(

Sometimes, it is better to say nothing at all. Cause big mouths results in big words, and big words travel like bacteria.

You can create a icon on your desktop linking to the WWIIOL exe.

In the command line of that shortcut you  add  1 1 for allied 1 0 for axis or just 1 for world (where you can choose axis or allied).

Here are detailed steps to launch the game without using your browser:

Start windows explorer by right-clicking on My Computer and choosing explore.
Browse to the folder C:Program FilesPlaynetPlayGATE
Find Playgate.exe (it's an icon with two people-like figures)
Right-click on it and select Create Shortcut
It will create a new Playgate icon called "Shortcut to Playgate.exe".
Drag that icon to the desktop
    close out of Windows Explorer
Right-click on that new Shortcut to Playgate icon and select Properties
In the line "Target" it will say:
    "C:Program FilesPlaynetPlayGATEPlayGate.exe"

Click in there with your cursor and go to the end of the entry and add a space and a 1 so that it reads:
    "C:Program FilesPlaynetPlayGATEPlayGate.exe" 1

(it may or may not have the quotes. if not, don't worry about it, just add the 1 at the end)

    Click OK at the bottom

Now if you use that icon to launch the game it will take you to the Globe screen where you can choose Axis or Allied.
