Community Warning: Rappelz incompatable with x64 OS

It appears this has not been posted elsewhere on MMORPG.com so I thought I would bring it to the attention of the community. The game Rappelz which went live as of November 3rd will NOT work under a 64 bit OS. In addition, you may find that you are unable to run the software if you have a dual core processor, use Spybot S&D, or any other serious anti-virus/firewall software.

This is a problem with the anti-hack software Gpotato has chosen to use to protect the game. AhnLabs' HackShield is incompatable with x64 systems and they have stated that they have no intention of fixing this issue until some time during the first quarter of 2007.

Several players have posted fixes for issues arising from the poor programming of HackShield when it comes into conflict with dual core processors, Spybot, or other pieces of software. These solutions can be found here.

Once again: Rappelz is incompatable with an x64 OS. Don't even bother.

    works on my dual core (p4 pressler 920, 2.8 ghz) but on 32 bit os

    Why is this a warning? Wouldn't a warning be for something that you spend money on?

    Or for something you spend hours downloading and then hours searching for the solution as to why the software won't run for you. The download is over 1gig and the thread covering the topic is thirteen pages long. Better to post here and inform the community, don't you think?

    Almost every game with any form of anti-hacking add-on is incompatable with Windows XP 64 OS.

    All cause you have a 64 processor doesn't mean you must use a 64-bit OS.  Just switch back to Standard Windows XP Pro/Home.  What really is the benefit for XP 64? It will be completely useless with Vista in a month anyways.

    Funny I spent all last night trying to unzip it and finally I get an answer.  My freakin processor ;/
