I was just wondering what type of player do you hate the most in a game?
For me, the type of player I hate is someone who so obviously cheats, via hacks, programs, ebay, whatever and will never admit it no matter how obvious it is and furthermore, they PvP, talk crap as if there accomplishments were actually real and legitimate.
I absolutely hate a person like this, because they make you ask yourself why am i wasting my time to accomplish my goals legitimately, to duel a loser like this. I dealt with too many of them in Diablo 2 and I dealt with a whole server of them in Lineage 2.
I will have trouble understanding a person who will win a duel whle using hacks and actually have fun doing it. I can understand if you're a pker or you gank, but to use hacks is just low and to actually enjoy it is even worse.
I don't mind griefing so much, what irks me is to use hacks and then to be proud of your accomplishments. It's look shooting fish in a barrel.
I think ebaying is like a steroid phenomenon to me, so bloody obvious when someone does it, yet they'll kill their mothers before they admit to it.
Ever see bubble boy at the gym, only reason I don't ask them if they took steroids is because they'd kick my ass. (Also, i mind my own business and when you see a lawn of zits on his back and you hear Michael Jackson's voice, your answer is there).
What are your thoughts?

but u can't hide your age most of the time, although I do have respect for the younger players who act mature.
sometimes I greatly overestimate their age and feel stupid that I'm playing with a 14 year old. although generally most ppl below 16 leave a pretty childish attitude.
I can't stand the FPS-attitude in mmorpg players either (big increase of this attitude since WoW with loads of counterstrikers and the likes playing mmorpgs nowadays).
They're not chilled out, usually use insults and leetspeech (1337, n00b, pwn etc). It detracts from the RPG experience (not that I actually roleplay my character entirely, but n00b will never fit in a MMORPG experience for me haha!)

if you don't like pvp why'd you buy the game or choose that server?
I REJECT your reality and substitute my own!
with an added bonus to beggers.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
Now, if you are going to ask what kind of player *annoys* me the most, well then I have some answers for you. The prime one would be griefers -- people who get a kick out of making other players miserable. I don't "hate" griefers, but they do annoy me, and make me want to stop playing the game.
I can point to types of players that irritate me, ruin the gameplay experience, etc. But I really don't hate anyone I meet in online games because it is, after all, just a game. Getting that worked up over a game would be pretty unreasonable.

Well people who ebay it, or buy gold or whateer don't bother me at all. It's really no different then someone taking their high level toon, with their low level buddy through a low level instance and killing everything so their bud can get the loot drops.
The people that make me chuckle are the folks that get into a game, proceed to do quests and things, but are constantly asking questions in general chat regarding where the quest objectives are or what they are. Sometimes I wonder if gamers actually read, or try and do some problem solving on their own. Getting a little help with a tough quest is one thing, begging for others to actually DO the quest for you is another.
In this day and age of MMOG, so many people are looking for instant gratification and being the "first" to something, they miss out on the actual content in the game. These are the folks that bitch about a game not having any interesting content once they reach the level cap.
That's mine.

Incompetant players
I am not here talking about people who are still learning the game, I have no problem with playing with them and helping them out. Usually, they aren't too hard to spot, so not relying on them too much is possible.
I'm talking about the ones that will let a team down at a crucial moment, because he doesn't have a bloody clue what hes doing and could care less about learning, that or is more interested in jacking off to the porn in the background of his screen.

Thank god for the ignore feature.
1. AMETURE EXPERTS! the fools that think they know it all, for example a bunch on the annueture experts hate WoW, just because so many others like it.
2. any nerd who buys/hacks/macros accounts.Come on nerds, you guys are THAT lazy as to not play your own geek game?
3. people that go on roleplaying servers and act like this: yo0!! Wuzaap D0D!! I leik eGz!+D
Rawk for life!
The kinds of players I hate are the ones just like me. I know that because I annoy almost everyone within contact range . To other people I go with random beggars. Honestly dont they have any in game friends to borrow in game currency from?
Please excuse any grammer or spelling mistakes. I am very poor on the writing subject
Well for me its whiny PvP'ers.
For example till recently doing missions in eve was relitivly safe because the missions were located far from any stargates, so if a PvP person wanted to gank a mission runner then he would have to launch a scan probe at 3 locations making a wort of pitta shape if you get what i mean. This got you a farly accurate location on the target for you to warp to.
Now tho becuae PvP persons complained enough all it takes now is one probe and 30 seconds to find the target. With the result that as this method passes around you are getting PvP persons camping systems with good missions scanning for people doing them.
Its pathetic.
Whiners. Holy heck, I hate whiners. I get so sick of reading forum post after forum post selfishly begging that their pet class/ship/character/etc. be boosted. Quit the game already if you don't like it! Yeah, they bug me.

I sleep with a pillow under my gun.
I hate shemales, and dont say I don't know what I'm talking about because I already know that. You know what I mean, those people that go into your ventrilo, teamspeak, rogerwilco, or whatever voip channel and start to talk when they sound like a huge disgusting ladyboy.

I cant stand people with leetspeak names, or stupid names. People can really Butcher names in an MMO, ive seen people with some awesome names that show great imagination, but the fact its written like "AtOmICiDe" really annoys the hell out of me.
Anyone with a number in their name, anyone who uses captials all over the place, leetspeak names just wind me up. Im not exactly a roleplayer, I wont sit and try to 100% immerse myself in the game, but I enjoy the "fantasy" feeling, which is ultimately destroyed when "BADJohN21" comes into veiw and says "Yo wur can i find dis mob lolz? I looked in da town and heer, cnt fnd it"
Edit: I forgot my 2 most hated people in all MMORPG's, I think everyone has seen these people amd they fit into a category way beyond the normal idiot. They are 2 people involved in a converstion along these lines:
Person1: IM far better than you im the bestest here
Person2: yeah well I beat you that time we fought
Person1: yeah well I fucked your mum/dad
Person2: My mum/dad is dead you idiot.
Ive seen that style of conversation so many times in so many MMO's, im really begining to wonder how long its going to be before the need for a dead parent is listed as a requirement on the back of the box. Its strange how low some people can stoop in MMO's.
Learn to read please.
I'll agree with him on this one. Don't play a PvP game if you dislike PvP.
edit:
Forgot to add: I also hate the elitist attitude of a lot of people. "I play a smart game so I'm smarter and better than you!"
Ehm, no.
Honestly, players who are just flat out rude. Im not saying everyone should be overly friendly and nice to anyone all the time, but how about old-fashioned common courtesy? Pretty much it. Oh, players who refuse to fight fair, or get angry when they lose a fair fight.
