About the contests held for beta accounts.

Ok, as we all know, MMORPG have events held for members to get in on an opportunity to have a beta account. But something is really bugging me about this. Ok, so any one who becomes a member may join in for it. Which, in a way, is promotional for this website. But the downfall I see for this is that a person see's an that MMORPG is holding a beta account contest, and that "noob" registers just so they have a... 1 in 500 chance to get in on the fun. But what about those that have been around on this site that really REALLY looked forward in these contests and yet never won and perhaps by chance the newly "noob" who register does win. So in other words, the person registered only because they wanted to get in on the contest and not for MMORPG site wins the account, and the commited members on this forum don't get a chance.(Yes, I'm aware about the login each day 5 time increase) All I'm saying is, I think those who freshly registered on this site shouldn't automatically be able to enter the event. Or those that freshly registered should only get once chance, while those who've been around do get more chances. ^_^ Now this is just my opinion and I'm not complaining about the event's themselves. I'm absolutely happy that we get the chance to participate in something like this :-D. I myself may not post alot on forums, but I do READ alot of info and get my way around. I would looooovvvveee to hear some feedback, postive or negative.

    Not to rub it in but I have won something 3 months in a row now, although I gave my 9Dragons beta key away because asian MMOs blow.

    Edit - BTW if it wasn't for a Nvidia 5500 giveaway, I would never have joined this site.

    It's fair for the same reason that someone could buy a lottery ticket every week for their whole life and never win, while watching someone buy one out of the blue and win the jackpot.
    It's life.

    The contests are a way of attracting new members and also rewarding old members.

    Being active on the website everyday the contest is running increases your chances of winning. Its a way of rewarding the more active members for their continued participation in the community.

    the mods on mmorpg shouldve done more research as non us and canada people arent allowed to play the closed beta for 2 moons, there is 73 accnts non us and canada that have won, pity pity.
