Definitely Planescape:Torment. It just sucked me into the game and made me feel like i was there. NWN is/was awesome as well. And with the ability for ppl to make their own mods and play them online, just makes it better. I've never played Oblivion, but have played Morrowind and expansions, they were pretty good. Would have been better if i could play it with multiple people, but what can i do? Eye of the Beholder was crazy hard, i remember always getting stuck at a particular spot in the game and it always took me hours to remember how to get out of it.

If you can't beat 'em, hold 'em off 'till you come up with a better plan.
Everquest (the first one) is my favorite D&D based game. And yes, it was very D&D based, many of the same classes, same levels that certain classes got spells, etc... Heck, they even had the gelatinous cube in the sewers of Qeynos.
For now, I would have to say NWN. That being said, I purchased the BG series and Plane of Torment at bargain basement prices recently. Some day, when I catch up on all of the other more recent games I purchased (like FF XII, etc) I hope to give them a whirl.
For the time being I am out of the MMO realm and trying to catch up on all of the great games I have missed. Heck, I just played God of War and was ticked at myself for waiting so long. What a great game!
The downside to MMOs, particularly for people that can be obsessive like myself is, you end up spending so much time focused on them you don't get to anything else.

God of War is okay, but not great. You didn't really miss any good games.
