Yea I know what you mean. Seems like forever and still no word about the beta accounts. At least some of the other contest winners from RYL and maybe CoH didn't have to wait for thier accounts. but all the better for us in a way since the game should be more stable (I hope anyway).
I have to second that. I'm pretty patient, but come on guys this is starting to get annoying. I still don't have notice of activation yet so were looking atleast wednesday. Therefore it will be two full weeks before we get in at best, thats not really acceptable for a contest winner. If you give out a contest, which they did even though mmorpg ran it it was still accepted by Themis, you gotta be able to fulfill. I like what Nevrax is doing, its looking like a sweet game but I do have to save I'm a little hesitant of Themis. I don't like how their marketing the game by giving away beta accounts, and this hasn't improved my vision of them.
Remember that we had to wait for like more then a month before my cds finally arrived and that game is still in closed beta and I don't know if your accounts are for open or closed beta. 500 men is a lot of people that will join because there are few people testing this game at the moment.

I'm assuming (I know you should never assume) that the beta is still a closed one. If it was an open beta, we would have the client downloaded and all will be playing by now. Would be nice if they would just activate our beta accounts so we can log in and read the forums on their forum site while we wait for the CDs or while downloading the client. All we have access there is to change our beta infomation and the ability to read some story posts. I haven't tried to post on thier forums since every thing needs a beta account to read anything about the game (ie:player guides, skills, stats and etc....) but I guess we will have to wait for them to wake up enough to email us our beta account status.

I haven't heard anything else from anyone thats involved with Ryzom. I did try to post on thier site and sure enough it is setup so the beta accounts are the only ones that can post there. So I guess we still wait till they are ready for the 500 winners to enter from here and the 1500-2000 winners from other sites. Think they are gonna have 1 major stress test if they let all 2000-2500 people in at the same time.
yeah, 1500-2000 people that will come in beta soon would surprise me because we are very few at the moment. And i think not very ready to recieve som much people but it would be nice if you all would come brings more life to the communtiy

Beta was opened. We're all anxius to play this game, especially since we've been accepted into Beta. Beta is here, which is why everyone is talking about it.
It'll be coming up to a full week tomorrow night since I last heard from anyone about Beta. Anyone have any clue as to what's going on?
Rumor has it, The Themis Group, are the ones dealing with the beta accounts and will be giving out the accounts after they get back from the GDC (which ends on the 26th). So the accounts will be given out between the 29th to the 31st. This is only a rumor so it has a 50/50 chance of being true. I found this info out on World of Ryzom's website.
