First time coming to this forum and I have to say that it is awful.

stop biasing this game on every other MMORPG out there....turbine devs do stuff REALLY REALLY different that most mmos....it worked GREAT with AC, kinda flopped with ac2 and DDO so they HAVE to make their comeback now.

Sure there are a TON of other MMO's out there, but if you are going to compare the greatness of one mmorpg to show how LOTRO might be lacking....dont use games like SWG or CoH...at least pick GOOD mmorpgs.

    Agreed, pretty much everything out there is better than SWG so I wouldn't use that in a comparison.

    Your argument would carry more weight if LOTRO were actually any different from all the other MMORPGs out there.

    But it isn't. It's the same old crap we have seen for the last 3-4 years, with a Middle-Earth skin. And that is why it will fail.

    Exactly like WoW.  I think the popularity of WoW is nearing an end because it will soon have competition with several new releases.  I've already quit playing it and I've noticed a lot of other people are doing the same.
