Halo 3 TV Spot

The first ever Halo 3 TV Spot came out tonight on ESPN's MNF.  To those of you lucky enough to have an XBOX 360 hooked up to live, you can download the 480p or 720p versions there.  To those of you who don't, it's up on youtube if you want to check it out:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXNrMPnuqyc

It's only 60 seconds, and it's CG, but damn is it awesome.  I personally think Halo 3 is overrated when it comes to actual gameplay, but I love the story (supposedly the trailer shows a glimpse of something to expect from H3's game storyline ... young Master Chief anyone?).  I already preordered my copy.

What do you guys think?

    That was an awsome trailer...still dosen't tell if hes black though. image Also man don't call a game overated when you haven't even played it yet (not only that it's not even out yet). Don't make yourself look bad. image One thing that I think is uhhh, strange about that trailer is you know darn well you can't face enemies like that and live. There is one think about halo trailers and vids is that you see Master Cheif do somthing that you can't possibly live though if yo were actually playing.

    Remember the scene before H2 came out when he was in Africa on the Ghost and he slid though a closing door and 3 pods came down with the guys with energy swords and all the Cheif pulled out was a grenade and then the clip ended? I really hate when they do that. It's kinda like false hype.

    Oh yeah, Nihilanth, did you sign up for the Shadowrun beta?

    I'm not saying this Halo's gameplay is going to be overrated [[i]EDIT:  I guess I did say that didn't I.  Oh well, that's not what I meant.  Meant Halo series in general[/i]], just that the last two's have been. Don't really care though, I'll be first in line to pick up my copy when it comes out just because, like I said, the story is extremely good.  I'm hoping the Halo movie (if it ever comes out) will be CJ like that trailer, because I really think live action could ruin a potentially great movie when it comes to Halo.

    As for the Shadowrun Beta, I didn't realize they were accepting beta applications.  I'm a little behind the curve I guess.  I looked it up on the website though, and yes, now I did.

    Oh, yeah if someone says Halo has the best gameplay, they might need to check themselves. Halo was good for when it was in it's time, Halo 2...they could have done a bit more, still fun. I know what you mean. I need to hit up a reserve too, but I'm afraid I might be in the Millitary when the time comes. Glad you singed up for the Shadowrun beta too. If we are picked, hope to own you. image

    I think the trailer looks good!  The game looks like it will be fun to master.  You never know, they might have outdone themselves with this one. OB is soon!

      ya, the CGI in this trailer might be over the top,   casual gamers will be let down when they see its not quite as good.  but , nontheless the trailer was pretty sweet, and its always good to see Halo stuff again. 

    the new shield grenade looked pretty interesting too.
