well i just signed up to try out games (i dont know the correct terms) and well i was wondergin if anyone had any tips for me so i can be ready to start testing games...any tips?
I would say you should give them your view on their game so far after so certain amount of time spent playing the game, I advise you not to go blabbering about how bad you think the game is when you've only played for 5 seconds, that would get you a lot of flaming and it is not what a good tester does.
You could try out all the different features that they offer for you to test out, if there are any bugs or glitches in any part of a game you must report since that is your job, feedback to the developers is also necessary so that they can try and balance and fix the game.
Remember two things, although you are working for the developers to help them improve the game that gives them no right to treat you badly so I advise that you report mistreatment to someone who would listen and do something about it, also what you are doing is testing for them NOT having a preview and taster of the game so you have to help them improve the game.
What you are doing is called either an Open Beta or Closed Beta, Open Betas are open to the public to sign up and test, Closed Betas are for the developers to pick out some people they think would do good for testing and invite those chosen people to a closed beta.
