Hello all.. First I'd like to wish everyone a happy holiday.. Second I WANT TO COME BACK! I used to play years ago, and Im am tired of the WoW kids. I'd like to get back into a real MMORPG again.
For the holiday I asked Santa for a new laptop. This is going to be used for graphic work mostly, but I want to know if it would run a semi recent version of DAoC, probably Darkness Rising, maybe older, maybe newer. Im wondering what it could handle.
The Specs are:
Intel Dual Core 2 2.0 Ghz
1 GB ram (probably upgraded to 2 GB ram)
and here is the show stopper
and intel 950 Video card. Ohhh I can hear everyone groaning now. LOL
Im just curious to know up to what expansion I could run and get decent framerates (20-30)
Thanks all and don't mock me to much.

point. Cats/DR/LotM all use the same client. ToA is free
now and will be discontinued in the coming months. As it is, it
is no longer supported but an available option for a little longer.
The only issue I see is that you went with an integrated video
card. If you want a gaming machine of any type it is best to get
rid of that.
But with that said, there are people playing with worse machines now
and an intergrated card. The vid card supports directx9 and that
is all that is required. Your CPU will just do more work than if
you have a better video card. You might have some lag in RvR, but
you can turn down your vid settings if necessary.
But, if you really want to see how your machine performs, DL the
trial. You can upgrade the graphics to the latest engine and see
how it plays.
