Hi there,
I've been looking alot at non RPG MMO's. I've found very few, most are based on sci-fi type setup's ala EVE.
Is there any kind of demand for a driving MMO ? is it viable. I rememebr motor city, but it was before we really had decent internet to play online (South Africa) I'm waiting for Test Drive unlimited for PC to see how it works, but I doubt it's less MMO and more Online Play.
Would you guys be interested in a driving MMO?

Click the sentence in SnaKey's first post.
He's talking about Auto Assault. It's a driving-based MMORPG. Think Mad Max. It's a decent niche game. You're not going to see a lot of players, but the developers do seem to be very active. It isn't dead, and it isn't going to die, but that's mostly because NCSoft can afford to sustain it. The most reliable numbers I can find peg the game at having roughly 10k subscribers at present. Not impressive.
I made a joke back in the day that it was a credit to the developers that they realistically simulated an apocalypse: you could drive forever without seeing a live person. I'm not sure how true that is today, but I'd ask around about this game from people who are currently playing it before you buy it.

Try e-games. I remember them having some sort of racing game in their stable.
