I was thinking about trying D&D Online and I was wondering how many players can be in one combat instance at a time? Does it vary? I know GW varies, with a max of 24 players per combat instance, is D&D like that?
Thanks guys!

Instances are normally restricted to groups - it is like a private adventure dungeon, basically. Groups in D&DO can hold up to 6 people. Exceptions are Raid dungeons, where 2 groups are allowed (12 people).
An instance is thus only open to members of a party or a raid-party (unless you want to play solo, which is also possible on lower levels - in this case you are a 1-man-group
This is necessary since quests in D&DO involve a story line and different objectives to solve, which wouldn't be possible if anybody else outside your group would share the instance with you.
